Sorry, I've just realised my VPN has suddenly started blocking musicbrainz for no reason, it's working fine.

Thanks for letting me know. I was concerned about why the error occurred after testing the special character yesterday and finding it did not cause your issue.

It’s probably MusicBrainz that blocks VPN access. I know my favourite album art website blocks VPN access (www.albumartexchange.com)

Thanks for fixing the DTS-HDMA streams labelling. I did notice that the Check For Updates option to install 7.03 fails to appear in the Downloads folder. I came here and the direct link in your post above worked right away.

This is how the Check For Updates option looked for me:
MMH DL error.png

Hi-
Just FYI, I tried converting a bunch of .mp4 Atmos files to .m4a via "extract audio from MKV". I got an error for each file, and MMH deleted every file (and they are not in recycle bin). I clicked through errors assuming before finding all the files were irretrievably deleted. No worried, I can hunt down the files elsewhere, but thought you should know.

I reproduced the error- drag a .mp4 into "extract audio" window, message says "you have selected more than one file...." I say "yes", error message "Error deleting existing file: (file location), could not find file (file location). Then irreversibly deletes original file.

Do you get same error if you load them all from the browser dialog?

You can just rename .mp4 to .m4a if the source contains audio only.

How do you select a different audio stream when decoding Dolby Atmos?
First, welcome to the forum.
Could you clarify what you are starting with? An MKV file for example?
If you are using the split MKV into chapters selection, there's a dropdown box at top to select the output audio stream.

It is MKV, and I am referring to the Atmos Helper -> Decode Atmos (Decode Dolby Atmos to Multichannel WAV).
When you select a file there is no option in selecting audio stream. It selects a stream on its own and I cannot figure out how to change the selection if that is possible at all.

Currently MMH auto selects the first Atmos stream only. I had presumed there would be only one Atmos stream (user would select that when creating the MKV). I would need to change the tool to pop-up a stream selection dialog if there’s multiple. I’ll do than in the next MMH release due out fairly soon, probably by end of this week. (In beta test now).

You could use MKVToolNix (free) to create a new MKV file with only the Atmos stream you want to decode, and use that in the current MMH version.

Wow, insane response time. I can indeed confirm that this does work now.
The reason for why it was needed was indeed a Blu-ray film containing multiple Atmos tracks for different languages. This means that it would be nice to see the language of each stream in that new dialog but obviously it is a nice to have feature you can put on some to-do-list in a distant future.

Thank you @HomerJAU for everything you do!

Maybe one day they wll release several Atmos mixes for different preferences: one immersive, other discrete, other more discrete with ping pong gimmicks...
I think that’s a great idea, …I personally create surround mixes and share them through various platforms and sometimes create a couple different mixes; active-mix / static-mix, ….I’ll usually choose my favorite and then name the other one the “alternate mix”.

People have different tastes and creating another option is much more likely to satisfy the majority of people’s preferences.

I was thinking ‘multiple language streams’ but didn’t think about actually showing the language. Apologies. I’ll add a language code to the selection dialog in the next beta release, probably today.
