I wonder who the lucky buyers were besides me . I guess we will never know. Maybe some big shot celebrities or someone like Elon Musk? Maybe a famous musician like Sir Paul? I once sold something on Ebay to Mark from Devo. I am a big fan from way back but just kept quiet and didn’t go there.
I guess that some things are better left unknown. Keeps the mystery alive.

Personally i would prefer them to get a better built unit. I have learned a lot during those past months of design, research and development and building a series of unit. That was way more complicated than originally anticipated.
Covid-19 slowed down the design and fabrication of the cabinets.
The next design will benefit from the experience.
I put extra care not to mix documents and keep names and personal informations secret.
So young and already a legend! lolIt’s like buying a Van Gogh at auction. No one knows who won to protect the buyer. These are THAT rare and coveted .
Me get #9, #9, #9...
No, you need a garage full of little old ladies furiously wiring and soldering! And someone from Amazon's packing department speed packing and shipping them. You are going to need a purchasing agent finding the parts and a marketing director making sure Walmart has plenty of stock! And they need to speak Japanese and Chinese for the foreign customers. While you are busy designing the 550 and 660 models! Your life will never be the same. Look out Elon, here comes Wurly! Better put in the order for your yacht now, it takes a couple years to build the big ones!Thank you for your interest in my design.
Unfortunately all JCQS-440 are sold.
If the demand is there i might build another batch next winter.
Just check this thread from time to time to stay informed.
Regards
Jean
Getting flamed by Nelson Pass is an honor.Hey, I got flamed once, on DIY audio, by Nelson Pass of all people... for buying _that_ amplifier....
I guess that counts for something, huh? I mean, getting flamed by little people, but, now..., Nelson Pass himself. ;-)
Thank you bob.stek for your knowledge of english syntax and phrasing.Yay! Can't wait.
I'm pretty sure WurlyScope is not copyrighted or trademarked.Thank you bob.stek for your knowledge of english syntax and phrasing.
Here is the definitive JCQS-440 user manual V3.02 (without my contact info)
available for free distribution.
I will no longer use the word Quadscope as it might be a copyrighted word.
From now on i will use the acronym AFV for Audio Fields Visualizer.
JCQS-440 AFV.
The success of this first AFV is an important milestone.
I am currently working on a way to encode some front, rear and sub channel signals into the matrix display without dissolving the visual effects. These additional signals will be enable or disable via a switch. Better circuit design and better cabinets.
Only demand will make the mk-II AFV a reality.
To follow!

How about “WurlyVision” or “Wurly-Matic Solid State AFV Device.”
But seriously, just the manual in itself is impressive. I can’t even imagine the hours put into this project. Now that is some serious dedication! Wurly has now achieved LEGEND status .
That’s just beautiful. The jukebox that is. So majestic looking and I could stare at that for hours on end. Kind of like audio/nostalgia porn. When I think of “Wurly” the first thing that comes to my mind is those silly caps with the propeller on top. Funny how the mind works huh.I appreciate the suggestions but "Wurly" is a diminutive of the Wurlitzer company.
They used to build organs and jukeboxes.
They have many copyrighted names beginning with Wurly and Wurla.
To avoid any confusion, i won't use that.
Here is a picture of my second jukebox, a Wurlitzer 2304s that i completely restored back in 2005.

I'm sure she'll be thrilled!Mine is in the city next door supposed to arrive on my wife's Birthday this Thursday.
I just started complete overhaul of the original design. Many modifications will be made in order to make it more user-friendly and more precise. Hopefully everything will be on one single pcb.Only 10 built.
Hmm... my amp goes to 11... if you ever wanna to go 11.... let me know.
BTW, I don't want 'just' the MkII. I want the JCQS-440 Signature version with the cables having been treated in a high weather balloon up in the ionosphere.... for that 'electric' display quality. ;-)
Of course, you might make the JCQS-440 Mk-II Zen. Burn some of that Kyoto incense while you play a High Resolution (24/96 min) audio of Japanese Monks chant the Buddha... gongs and all. After a few hours of that, the lights will take on that ethereal quality and reincarnate themselves every time you play the Deep Purple Machine Head CD-4 LP ( not the QS-4!!).
Me? Well I want the JCQS-666 Mk II Signature Zen in a naked body. I don't want my electrons to be affected by the metal/plastic body magnetic interference with a chassis that has a devilish 600 VDC, 20A, running around it, ready to fry you to the other side. OTOH, such a 'ground plane" will scare away all kinds of RF and power supply distortions. Such is the price we must pay for sublime perfection!
And don't ground the chassis... maybe Nelson Pass will flame me again. I'd be in DIY Heaven then, twice such flamed. Heck, I might end up in Heaven if I touch it, but _that's_ another story for another thread.
Seriously though, I'd like one.
I'm sure she'll be thrilled!
