New John Lennon collection, remixed in 5.1 surround & Dolby Atmos out in October!

Am I a fucking idiot? How do I change the audio? I have a list of all the songs but I can't arrow around with my remote to choose one, or arrow over to the audio settings and choose surround. All I get is auto playing PCM stereo, which I can use the track skip buttons, but surely the navigation is better than that...

Using my Oppo 203 remote, I use (mostly) the right and down arrow buttons to move the arrow cursor to the Atmos option. Then I press the round center button to select it. The R, G, B, Y buttons don't do anything.

It is slightly annoying that after the Universal HD intro screen, it immediately starts playing the stereo mix without user input. I'd prefer to select the sound mix first before the disc starts playing.

I still don't have the Blu-ray and was about to cancel my order yesterday based on your comments, but listening now to the Atmos on Tidal, there's plenty of activity on the front heights, phew!
I hope they haven't messed up the physical release

that had all discs scratched.

The John Lennon BluRay 5.1 DTS HD (Music only) in this better quality Box Set is in an Envelope case "protected."

But back to this release.
So far it knocks for 6 the previous releases.
Crystal clear in fidelity and the mix is fair.

Only on track 3 so too early to give an overall impression.

And the fabulous book can be enjoyed in it's own right as it's not stuck to the box set, unlike that stupid Stones release ( which, by the way, I sent back, had to eat my own words there)

As I documented in another post, I'm only getting Atmos content from my Dolby Atmos enabled (upfiring) rear speakers. The front upfiring speakers are silent.

Indeed....which is what I was expecting. Even stood on a small stool, hoping for the non existent music to emit from the rear heights...afraid not.

I checked my system yesterday using the 5.1.4 test tones on the 2016 Dolby Atmos Demo disc. No issues.

My set up has been fine until now....even double checked it recently with some Atmos samples.

To make things more confusing for me, GZAP1 over at avsforum.com reports he is getting Atmos content from his elevated Atmos fronts and rears. He has a 5.2.4 system.

This is going to take a little while to get to the bottom of what's going on. It could be that the Dolby Atmos mix is so accurate that it only plays through Atmos enabled speakers which my fronts are, the rears are described as heights.

I agree, this is going to take a while to figure out.

My x.x.4 are all Atmos enabled speakers. As previously stated, only my rears have Atmos content.

As an experiment when I have some time, I'm thinking of configuring my x.x.4 as Heights or Tops to see if it affects Atmos output.

That would mean getting main channels in the heights and vice-versa, though.

What make/model avr or prepro are you using?

I have a Denon 6200 connected to an Oppo 203.

GZAP1 over at avsforum.com who is getting Atmos content on his elevated front/rears has a Denon 4400H/Oppo 203.
