The titles remind me a little of the paintings one sometimes sees hanging in galleries named the likes of 'Untitled #3'. Come on guys, you're artists. Get creative. It smacks of laziness, to me. And plain silly.

I'm not particularly bothered by these song titles, but what you say is what I feel whenever I see a self-titled album. Especially if it's a self-titled album that is not a debut album. It gets on my nerves. I can't help it! 🙈

Just got a notification from Amazon that shipment has been delayed to Friday, November 22, 2024
Probably less apologetic than the note from the Shed.

Hi,

Thanks for your order.

The release date for this has been pushed back to 22nd November 2024.

I'm sorry for the delay.

Kind regards,

Chloe

Not surprising. From what I've read, manufacturing bottlenecks are affecting the entire disc based entertainment industry.

A not insignificant proportion of the responses on their social media are saying "release it on digital anyway!". Opeth know where they will be making their money at release.

Not sure what's going on with Importcds with this release. Importcds is now listing the CD only, but also says "Future release: Item will ship as soon as it is available" - so no longer even has a release date. Their earlier blu-ray listing has been removed. I frequently order from Importcds and never had a problem, but for whatever reason I ordered the BD/CD from Amazon and it still indicates everything is on track for a Nov. 22 release date. Many other retailers are also still listing it for Nov. 22, most with the same price as Amazon.

Saw this posted on Reddit... :ROFLMAO:

Obviously a "joke", but I'm willing to bet the cost part is true. SW hasn't done their last 2 albums despite them obviously being bros.
I’m not so sure, it’s most likely down to the fact that SW probably has no time on his hands, from finishing his new solo album to doing remix work for other artists.

Saw Opeth Monday night in Toronto by the way, what a great show! Mikael still sounds amazing considering he is 50. First time seeing them and definitely won’t be my last!
