Dear quaddies

After a heap of chatting, yelling, abuse, crying and irrational behaviour we have finally settled on wording on the front and rear panels (I lost- hate democracy)

I did listen to comments that just having INVOLVE decode mode made it less obvious that we actually decode QS (and others). The compromise is that we list the actual decoded formats on the rear panel. Hope you guru's agree.

I see 4.0 was replaced with 4.1; how does that affect someone with no sub?

4.1 vs. 5.1: Is that simply phantom center vs. actual center? Or am I asking this question just to see you hit 1000 posts!!!

YEEE HOOOO!!!!!!!!!! 1000 POSTS FOR ME

It has all become clear to me now, I have seen the light. The answer to the whole surround riddle is MONO! We have all been fooling our selves with 60 / 22/9.2 /7.1 /5.1 /4 / 2 channels. I have wasted all these years. We will scrap Surround Master V2 and jump straight to V3. A stereo to MONO converter.

I bet Jon Urban knew this all along, he has just been laughing at us from up high. I wonder what hidden secrets will occur to me on my 2000 post. Probably the meaning of life and the keys to the universe.....or how the female mind works.

Oh the answer to your question is:
Its an actual real life center with left and right content removed and the center removed from left and right. Yes I know its mathematically impossible Blah Blah.
Does not matter really , mono for me

Well, now that Chucky has reached 1000 posts and digressed to MONO I think we'll have to have some more of us from Involve post some more. 😜

I see 4.0 was replaced with 4.1; how does that affect someone with no sub?

The woofer band limited output is always on, but the main outputs are full range

We've just been discussing that here in more depth. We've made a change to the front and added to the rear of the design to help clarify this.

The 4.1 and 5.1 are now 4(.1) and 5(.1) respectively to show that the sub is optional. And on the back we've got written that all outputs are full range except for the sub.

See what you all think.

Thats me 10 years ago on the left with our new surround system

1001 for me!
Before we acquired them they were located in Seismic court (really). With the pictured woofer they triggered the local seismic event alarm. They stupidly chose to not admit it as they thought they might get into trouble. Personally I would have owned up and made a media event of it as they chucked me into the clink!

Hi Chucky, not sure I'd have done it that way but it seems perfectly OK to me.
Perhaps your website could do a slightly better job in explaining what the unit does (and how well it does it!) and how to use it. In particular there seems to be no mention of the legacy QS and SQ decoding capabilities (and the connection diagram still shows a drawing of the old V1 box). I know you are resource limited so this is only an observation not a complaint!

Whoa. OK, slightly embarrassing disclosure for me, now. Only slight, though, because I'm new here. I was unaware of the Surround Master until now. It's a double dose of good news for me, actually, because not only am I excited to save up and purchase one in a couple of months' time, but as luck would have it, Involve Audio is located just 10 km from my workplace! I wonder if I could visit, one day.🤩 In any event, I'm suddenly really looking forward to buying one. If I may quote a snippet of internet lore, never in my life have i needed something so much, and never known until i received it. I knew just a little while before receiving it in this case, I guess. 😉

I'm Jealous. Would love to meet the guys and hear their surround system.
