Well, it's been a long four years... and worth the wait.
I think that this might be the most interesting of the surround mixes because of course, there was no prior quad mix or status quo (mind you, the same goes for Meddle – that's an awesome 5.1 listen).
I love the way it starts flat, with POTW in stereo, before opening up into 5.1 goodness (or, let's be honest, 4.1 given the lack of signal in the centre channel).
It's really got a lot of room to breathe – new details and nuances appear every few minutes. And I LOVE what's been done with the vocoder section; Floyd has never sounded this prog before.
