nothing interesting to see just a bank of 5 Ikea "Benno" (cheapo!) units rammed with approx 180 surround music discs apiece (the music Blu-ray's, DVD's, box sets, etc are in various other cabinets dotted around the place) to give you an idea of how my mind works with filing away these SACD etc things..

I used to keep everything in genre order, alphabeticized by artist within, until the surround collection grew to the point I had to rethink some kind of a system in order to be able to find stuff..

like the Dylan's and the Stones SACDs get their own little pigeonholes for instance..

for instance, all the JSP Blues SACDs, couple of Concords (that's all I've got so far), bunch of Telarcs & Heads Ups (just my fuzzy logic storing em that way.. but it helps me keep tabs on them somehow..

I see some unopened ones(shrink wrap is showing); I have some blu rays that I didn't open for over a year. I got so caught up in the chase(finding and buying the item)that the disc itself was secondary. Thanks for those photos; but I must admit I was hoping for a panoramic shot so I could get the feel of the various shelves in the "bat cave":phones

Looks like you are missing More Hot Rocks (Big Hits and Fazed Cookies). There's some pretty good stuff on it.

of the surround music stuff there's not many still in shrinkwrap (and almost all are doubles or things I have rips of and I don't need to open the real mccoy.. unless its new like the Rickie Lee Jones SACD that just arrived, etc. I'll open that up over the weekend if I get the time) but for movies its crazy I have tons of DVD & BDs I've never got round to opening..

oh its no bat cave, or man cave,,or what have you! it's just my four walls lined with loads of cheap shit Ikea shelving full of music and movies and stuff! (I live slap bang in the middle of London where places are expensive and tiny and I'm a compulsive collector/bordering on hoarder in a little flat so everything's crammed into an absolutely minute space.. and I mean crammed! When I grow up/retire I'll leave the big smoke and tiny place and get a country mansion so big it'll have two movie theatres, one for each eye.. Ahh,.. Its fun to dream isn't it!? :D

anyway, back to PF's Division Bell.. what a disc!! (y) :wave

I hope this isn't a further negative sign after the initial delay emails...
The PF Webstore no longer lists the standalone DVD.

yeah well spotted! :) I've a few Stones missing (and a few screws missing if you ask certain folk!) Aftermath, More Hot Rocks, Singles Collection, around 4/5 in all I think.. to be honest I've run out of steam on them for now but I'll get around to picking them up in time.. they're on the wishlist :D

shame for folks waiting that they've seemingly sold out of the Division Bell 5.1 DVD.. but great news for 5.1..! So much for there being no demand for surround music...@:

mine has today arrived from the PF Euro store, here is a photo of the disc to go with IMachine's photos of the cover

So the stereo is 48 khz? I thought it was advertised as 96 khz.

I can't find it now either. I am pretty sure it said the stereo was 96 khz. The disk is backordered.

Thanks Adam for the pictures of your set up and shelving 'system' ;) looks impressive.

The Division Bell mix is wonderful, getting better with each listen :)

It really is a superb disc! I just wish there'd been a standalone Blu-ray Audio release.. not because there's anything lacking in the DVD-V but it's always nice to have these things in lossless if poss.. maybe in time Warner will do so.

I think the use of 48/24 on this disc is just a deliberate effort to put more distance between it and the blu-ray disc, in my own skeptical opinion. More contempt shown for the consumer...

Box set just arrived. Damn this is really nice. Very tempted to keep the whole thing but I've sold all the analogue elements. Waiting for the delayed DVD just became very easy... :D

Mine just arrived, went straight to the point: listening to High Hopes. Ohhhhhh!
Blu-ray sounds really really good. Too late here for a run at full volume, I will have to fall back to stereo with headphones in some minutes :(

Vinyl sounds great, enjoying a lot the bass drum at the beginning of Keep Talking and the bass sounds round and clear throughout this track. I like more the vinyl over the 96/24 stereo PCM, that sounds just fair to my humble ears. Not a huge improvement over the '94 CD.
I was just able to listen to four tracks in 5.1 and for now I can say that the new mix really makes a great difference over the stereo remasters. I know I'm comparing apples and oranges, but I'm still impressed with the surround. Apart from the clarity, I like the placements chosen, like Rick's voice all front, female chorus left back and David right back in Wearing the inside out. The effect achieved with the interplay is pleasant...
