Roger Waters: The Blanket
Oh hell no, a blanket party will remind him of his father's service in the fusiliers and we will be treated to 10 new sad songs about him within the year.
Another stitch in the blanket...Roger Waters: The Blanket
The *Wet BlanketRoger Waters: The Blanket
All over building a large house with a swimming pool and a sunken tennis court (well there is water polo so why not tennis) .....Maybe time for the fans to arrange a military style blanket party for Mr Waters.
He does seriously need a attitude adjustment to his way of thinkin.
I was just looking for some Waters info when I came across this bit of info.
Looks like he doesn't get along with his neighbors much better. LOL

Not understanding the legal details, how would this effect the situation over things like the release of the Animals 5.1 channel mix? Would the new potential owners of the catalog now have the say-so over these things, or would Waters still have the ability to continue to throw wrenches into the gears?Meanwhile..... (from Billboard)
If accurate, this probably means nothing further will released until a deal is struck with someone?
I was thinking the same thing. The Animals and possible Wall releases could be on hold until the deal is done. Any planned releases would be immediately lucrative to whoever buys the rights and would drive the overall price up.If accurate, this probably means nothing further will released until a deal is struck with someone?
Releasing the 1982 'The Wall' movie in 2K or 4K with Atmos would be welcome too...3. The Wall live video from 1980 that we know isn’t stellar/perfect but has been futzed with over the years

If they are seriously considering that, we already know about the Andy Jackson 5.1 mixes of Meddle (accidentally released) and Obscured by Clouds (not released). Even if Jackson is retired, his work could at least be considered a starting point for anything they could do with those two albums in the future. Though I'm not sure how much these old recordings would really benefit from even more channels, unlike the more elaborate productions from DSOTM onwards...could really then name all of the albums that haven’t gotten one but that might be superseded by…
2. Atmos mixes of the whole catalog?
Yeah, I thought I had remembered someone pointing out some mention of Pink Floyd and Atmos in the same sentence that made it seem like it might be under consideration... that made me put it here but AFAIK it's nothing more than a rumor at this point, and maybe not even a strong one.If they are seriously considering that, we already know about the Andy Jackson 5.1 mixes of Meddle (accidentally released) and Obscured by Clouds (not released). As a 59 year old with a big handful of money, I'd just be happy to finally hear "The Wall" in 5.1 before my hearing gives out or I die. Don't they want my money?
Dear messers Gilmour & Waters,
Please release multichannel mixes of Meddle, Animals and The Wall at a price that people can afford. No more extortionate box sets with scarves, coasters or M-Fing MARBLES!
Also, please stop denying fans the chance to hear this awesome music because of 40 year old grudges,... none of us are getting any younger here.
Yours faithfully,...etc, etc.
I agree with that. But given the balance of power in the band (and let’s still call them a band, even though it’s more an entity that curates the legacy and does the odd thing for charity) it’s hard to see there being much impetus for anything relating to The Wall or The Final Cut, much as I’d love 5.1 versions of each of them.Money is less important to them than preserving and cultivating their catalogue in a way that satisfies themselves and their legacies, and they certainly have put out a lot of great releases in the last decade with the Immersion sets, the Early Years set, and the Later Years set.
Of course certain elements of the "Middle" years have been somewhat ignored over the last decade, but I'm hoping that with the upcoming release of the "Animals" remix (finally!) that it will be the beginning of tying up most of the loose ends that have been neglected over the last 10 years, like "The Wall" in 5.1 surround, a release of "The Wall" movie on Blu-Ray (and maybe even 4K disc), and a 5.1 surround mix of "The Final Cut" (along with a release of the restored video EP)
