They're playing one of the best sounding rooms in the world in Chicago. It's pretty rare to get a rock show in that one. Definitely will have to go.

The Boston show is in a new venue right next to Fenway Park. The Red Sox are playing the Yankees that night. I'm sure it won't be too crazy. Just the oldest rivalry in baseball, LOL.

I saw Tears For Fears in Boston in 2004, just days after the Sox won their first series in 86 years. The city held the parade for the team that day. Needless to say, the concert was a major drunk-fest, LOL.

Last time I saw them was at Radio City. Looks like I'll be going back.

Definitely has a Blackfield vibe. Again, not a bad thing, just a thing that is.

I wonder if there's a concept element to this album, as there is a repeated line from "Harridan" in the form of, "time/hour of the almost rain." 🤔
I dunno, it has a really PT vibe if you ask me. Unfortunately, a bit too much like later PT for my liking. It just sounds a bit uninspired, too little structure. This was my number one favourite band when I was in high school, but I'm more of a fan of their sound between Stupid Dream and In Absentia.

My initial response to the 2nd PT track is ZZZzzz...

Yeah, this new track is kind of a dud. Mopey/whiny Steve Wilson mode. I didn't care for it much at all.

He redeemed himself by pointing out there's a "No Purchase Necessary" link on the tickets pre-sale page. Good for those of us who already pre-ordered the album elsewhere.
That's good, I was afraid I was going have to pre-order the cassette (cheapest item) then take my chances cancelling the order after securing tickets.

So my wife and I are taking a 40th anniversary trip to New England in the Early fall which conflicts with the 9/30 show at the Greek in LA. I wonder if she’d mind if we changed our plans and followed PT on their swing through the West instead.

I'm thinking I might try for Denver but grandkid school commitments might be difficult to accommodate.
