This is an awesome deal! Thank you so much for alerting us to it. Plus, it's perfect for me since I didn't want to double-dip on the Doobies as I already have the box. BTW, it ends today (11/30/24) so for anyone contemplating an order, now is the time. Three new QUADIOs delivered to my door for $46? Yes, please!Target has a buy 2 get 1 free right now. You can pre-order Batch 6, which are still Rhino exclusives, and get the sale. $22.49 each for two, then one free.
LOL! Never underestimate the buying power of the OCD completist! At age 73, I have finally begun to kick the habit on my obsessive double-triple and even quadruple dipping!Wonder what sales are like for the Doobie’s Bluray?
So many of us are opting not to double dip. One would think we’re a fairly captive audience so unless you missed out on the Doobies box set, how many are left to buy the standalone.
I am also attempting to kick that habit, hence skipping the Doobie’s.LOL! Never underestimate the buying power of the OCD completist! At age 73, I have finally begun to kick the habit on my obsessive double-triple and even quadruple dipping!
You can't. Just order it.I am also attempting to kick that habit, hence skipping the Doobie’s.
Then. 5 minutes ago I got an email reminder from SDE about the imminent closure of the Simple Minds bundle preorder window.
I already have one on SACD, the other on Bluray.
Trying to resist LOL
Well, they do have new Clearmountain mixes including instrumentals. And the bundle saves £6…..You can't. Just order it.

Was there ever a surround mix for Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Welcome To The Pleasure Dome?
yesI'm still holding out for that dam Rod Stewart album, any James Talyor would be nice, yeah Kraftwerk... "Computerworld". Was there ever a surround mix for Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Welcome To The Pleasure Dome? Is Paul Simon still on Warners, does he own his Columbia catalogue, the QUAD of Bridge Over Trouble Waters would be nice ? Really wish we would get Arlo, "Last Of The Brookyln Cowboys" in the QUAD mix, love that album. Any word on those Grateful Dead surround mixes coming out? Found this somewhere online, QUAD mix tape box DSOTM, love NOT for SQ.
No, we're all (I think) excited, just still absorbing the riches of the past year. I was thinking just last night that Jan. is about upon us and that is Quadio month!Wow. Everyone must be either busy or depleted of funds…or perhaps suffering a little Quadio fatigue? Naw, not THIS group.
I’m not a huge Seals & Crofts fan, so I’m still weighing the merits of getting Summer Breeze, but Diamond Girl would up the ante quite a bit. Diamond Girl and We May Never Pass This Way Again could sound really sweet in quad.
Also, Court And Spark as a stand alone would rock my world. Probably too soon for that possibility, but it’s on my wish list.
All in on War, Deep Purple and a Carly best of.No, we're all (I think) excited, just still absorbing the riches of the past year. I was thinking just last night that Jan. is about upon us and that is Quadio month!
I would not expect any Joni until the 4-BR box set is all sold out.
Repeats would be ok with me for Randy, Gordon, and Seals & Crofts. But I'm thinking Jazz could or should be in there too. I'm wondering if Strombringer has been deemed too special for a standalone and would get a special deluxe edition?
Could we get a wild assortment.......:
Would these hit the spot:
Beaver & Krause
MJQ - Last Concert
Deep Purple - Stormbringer
War - Deliver the Word
or would these be preferred:
Randy Newman - Sail Away
Carly Simon - Hits or a diff title?
Seals and Crofts - Diamond Girl
Gordon Lightfoot - Cold On The Shoulder
And could Rod Stewart "Atlantic Crossing" become a reality?
Yeah, when I heard that I was letdown, no Blows Against The Empire, it's on RCA. And looks like Stewart isn't moving his ass anytime soon for a QUAD release of "Atlantic Crossing". Does Vocalion (or who does) have access to all the CBS/Columbia SQ albums, so many QUAD releases just sitting there.Would love to have these, including Bark. Unfortunately, Steve (ForagingRhino) confirmed that anything prior to 1972 for the Airplane family stayed with RCA, even if they were released on Grunt. Thus, our hope for Bark or Sunfighter lies with Dutton Vocalion.
