thanks Bill. Yes - we are very excited. Its so quiet out at the new digs ( cant wait to blast Black Sabbath Paranoid Quadio on the new system -that'll stir things up !! ). And more excitement - in 75 days I will be an AARP card carrying member !!
The only ARP I know of on this side of the pond was the WWII ARP Warden a la Dad's Army sitcom!

............I'm now eligible for a Bus Pass, but there are very few buses where I live

Car insurance, home insurance, health insurance (UHC/Medicare Advantage).
I've got the AARP/UHC Plan F & D. The premiums have grown quite a bit since I first signed up but still no deductibles, office co-pays, hospital bills.

Oh, and for the first time AARP volunteers prepared our tax returns absoluley free. About an hour in/out. Very happy with that. And you don't even have to be an AARP member to make use of this.

Ain't QQ Grand? Something new to learn every time I check in. Never heard of Dad's Army but just watched S1 eps 1/2/3 from the late 60's. For free on YT. Big fun!!

Dad's Army still gets big viewing figures in the UK when it is repeated on the BBC. It is superb. All the actors in it are now dead, but the catchphrases live on. "Stupid boy!".

To hell with AARP, they lie to you like they're some extension of the US Military, all the while bleeding Vets for more money. Anyone can join AARP and get the same "discounts" as non-military personal, all you got to do is pay your way in.
I played their game back in the early 1970s when I first got out of the Army, till I found out they were just a big con right up there with $5K power cords.
Drop Dead AARP
