Being as how you have to be at least 50 to join AARP, I'm going to assume you don't know what you're talking about. To hell with AARP, they lie to you like they're some extension of the US Military, all the while bleeding Vets for more money. Anyone can join AARP and get the same "discounts" as non-military personal, all you got to do is pay your way in.
I played their game back in the early 1970s when I first got out of the Army, till I found out they were just a big con right up there with $5K power cords.
Drop Dead AARP
Does that mean you may have neighbors some day?I dont have to mow that area. That is a cul de sac island that is owned and mowed by us 15 cult members ---err-- 15 HOA members

A really nice look too.
I think you might be selling the roof short... I just google "lifespan of a metal roof" and got this....that roof will be around a lot longer than I will be. So - optimistically - its got a 25 to 30 year life span. lol
My sider caught me off guard. Called me today - he has a hole in his schedule and was wondering if he can jump on this next week.
I'm like 'hell yeah ! - but he wont be able to get the main front done as I have yet to pour the cement for the porch as the above photo shows
Gonna push my cement guy to pour that porch late next week - so that the sider can complete the joint. Otherwise it will be Three Sides Live
I was equating my life span to the roof. Ill prolly be upright for about 25 to 30 years if the good Lord sees it as suchI think you might be selling the roof short... I just google "lifespan of a metal roof" and got this....

Of course only you know the exact material they used... the above is just a general answer to a general question.
In the UK my dad turned over the stone roof tiles on a 300 year old barn roof and replaced some but not all of the timbers. Should give that roof another 200 to 300 years of life. Roof has to be in original sandstone, it's a conservation area.Ricky Life Span - 25 - 30 years
Metal Roof Life Span -Bills data is correct
From what I have seen the Amish do good work, it seems to be part of their beliefs.BTW - the metal panels were formed on site by a team of Amish. No pics in respect to their wishes. This is not your Lowes metal roof- let me tell you !!
High quality stuff

now you got me reminiscing. so me and my buddies were in our early twenties. all single. all had decent jobs. one friend bought a brand new 23 foot Formula speed boat. Killer boat. He put a big amp in there and 2 big JBL speakers om the rear deck or engine cover.I was working in a new subdivision being built near Cypress Gardens in Winter Haven, FL. When this one group of framers were working I called them the "radio guys" because they always had loud music playing from one of the local radio stations. One of the guys had a truck with a really cranking sound system. You always knew when they showed up to the job site. Mostly AM top 40 stuff IIRC.
I drove our crew's big work truck because I had what was called a "chauffeur's" license back then, now called CDL I guess. It actually had a pretty crankin' radio/speakers as well. Well, AM radio you know. Distortion carries. lol.
