They have changed the packaging. It is no longer a mini-lp sleeve but more of a cardboard box/wrapper

I think he's talking about the actual disc package (which looks like a slipcase), rather than the cardboard box they mailed it to him in.

I have the debut album and it looks exactly like this. The others in the series so far have the mini-lp sleeve format.

Yes it is more a container than a replica sleeve. Just like the first Santana but I would argue the Super Session is simply a single lp sleeve and not like this.

Going all the way back to Jeff Beck ~ Wired, released eight years ago, the sleeves for this series have been sized proportionally to the thickness of the bonus memorabilia & poster content.

Check it out, identical in thickness & construction to Santana I.

Borboletta is slightly thicker due to the book plus two 13 x 18 -inch posters folded three times each.

Soon everybody will have this in their hands to see for themselves.
The jury will decide if anyone wants to argue about what "container" versus "replica" means.
