So my copy of the Thompson Twins Into the Gap has the instrumental version of "Doctor! Doctor!" substituted for the version with vocals on the 5.1 mix. I've already asked for a replacement. Anyone else having this issue?
Yep, this is a problem with all of the discs -- also, in the 5.1 mix of No Peace For The Wicked, the right front speaker suddenly goes silent for several seconds about a minute into the song.

Paul at SDE knows of the issues, and he said he was going to talk to BMG this week about how to proceed, but as of this moment, there's no replacement program in place.

Two albums in quad , 5.1, and Atmos :

GONG You , with both quadraphonic mixes , PYE and Westlake Audio , from one half of the album including the 4.0 upmix for the other album half.

Jefferson Airplane Surrealistic Pillow , quad tracks , including upmix in quad for the * incomplete tracks.(still in stereo).

Watching utube , and wondering if these two groups s/b in surround;

Manfred Manns Earth Band (70's albums)*

The Kinks (70's output)

*I know that Manfred Manns albums did a switch up and really got into prog rock in the 70's,
Also they have at least two mega hits in "Blinded By The Light" and
"Don't Kill It Carol", ......"You Angel You"might be considered as well.

I've already mentioned upthread that (to my knowledge) all of Manfred's multitracks got lost in the infamous late 80s Workhouse fire. The albums that could be remixed would therefore be the few less classic ones (or the supposedly upcoming new album, though that's been in the works for so long I'm not sure we'll ever see it).

One act I can't recall seeing mentioned on SDE or here but that struck me as fitting into the series would be Cock Robin. They had a couple of great singles, at least, not sure if their albums hold up but I haven't heard a song by them I dislike.
