I had quad setups in several rooms and never used them much. I thought of selling doubles
but the recant California fires made me rethink that.
My friend lost his house to the Eaton fire, all the possesions were gone. He loaded some of his best
musical equipment in his van, but in the chaos had to leave the van and all was destroyed.
I realized that a fire flood or earthquake could wipe out 50 years of collecting quad and other stuff.
I have now taken the doubles of receivers, speakers, etc. to my parents house. I kept the most often used items and it really has made things cleaner and gave me an opportunity to review the equipment.
I put Q8s and selected records and multichan cd's in easy to grap cases. If something happened to one location, I still have back-up.
Just an idea, and of course important papers at the ready is a part of that too.
