The shipping costs from Japan ARE expensive; however, CD Japan does have multiple shipping methods/carriers available and DOES allow you as the customer to hold back items in order to combine them into one (1) to save shipping costs. Of all the companies that I order Blu-ray's, CD's and SACD's from whether foreign or domestic, CD Japan is by far the best at getting me the product that I have ordered (and many times a few months previous as a pre-order) on the day of release AND exquisitely packaged to ensure product integrity. Finally, they offer a rewards program that many times also offsets the additional shipping costs. A great company and one that I wish others would imulate their approach in serving their customers.

I suggest bundling the Laura Nyro with the latest (or any) of the Santana 7" Japan SACD releases to cost average shipping. CD Japan also may still have other 7" quad SACDs, or other titles that may only be available as an import. That is what I do anytime I order from them.

If this is your first purchase from CD Japan, then you might be surprised at how much effort is placed in the packaging of your order when you receive it from DHL, etc. This extra care is especially important when shipping more fragile releases such as the Japanese SACD'S/mini LP packaging that you just ordered... Cheers!

Just got my package from DHL of both SACDs. Perfect shape. Safe, fast delivery. Never a chance for a bent corner or damaged disc. The DHL Air option might not be cheap, but it's worth it. It's the only way I order from them

Mine is scheduled to be delivered from DHL tomorrow. It is more expensive but with the quality shipping container's and care taken in packaging, this is money well spent...Cheers!!!

DITTO, Jon. DHL from CDJapan IS the ONLY WAY TO GO. Also added 2 MQA Van Halen CDs and an SHM~SACD {Cannonball Adderly Quintet LIVE in Chicago] and 2 packages of their incredible CD case covers. With CDJapan's prices really really cheap [compared to AmazonUS and even ImportCD who doesn't stock them anymore] it more than justifies the pricey but 'exquisite' DHL s/h charges with the option of NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED! Can't wait to compare the DSD256 2024 Laura Nyro QUAD SACD to the 2016 Audio Fidelity version!

DITTO, Jon. DHL from CDJapan IS the ONLY WAY TO GO. Also added 2 MQA Van Halen CDs and an SHM~SACD {Cannonball Adderly Quintet LIVE in Chicago] and 2 packages of their incredible CD case covers. Well put! I did much the same but added several new jazz SACD'S to my order. Lot's to listen to in the coming days before I head into surgery on December 10th for total left knee replacement and tibial nail removal surgery.

Michael, good luck with your knee surgery! I just had my right eye treated with a laser to remove a membrane which had formed over my 'corrective' lens and now I can see perfectly. Enjoy all your Japanese JAZZ SACDs.

Hopefully, Sony Japan will continue their QUAD SACD reissue program [in special 7" packaging] into 2025 and beyond and since SONY just completed a $400M buyout of Paul Simon's back catalogue it would be nice to see BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER and even BOOKENDS finally released not to mention all of Simon's SOLO projects previously remixed into QUAD!

ALL SACDs are DSD64, period. They may, however, be derived from DSD256. I think that that was also the case with “Lotus” by Santana.

ALL SACDs are DSD64, period. They may, however, be derived from DSD256. I think that that was also the case with “Lotus” by Santana.

Remastered from the original analogue masters @ DSD256 ..... and yes, all commercially produced SACDs are DSD64

Laura Nyro: Question/observation.
The Japanese package booklet shows a 5.1 configuration, illustration, but this is 4.0, correct? Inside this booklet shows 5 Laura Nyro album covers, upcoming Quad?
The other booklet shows album of New York Tendaberry, is this a upcoming Quad release?
The Japanese Santana booklets did this, showing other albums and they eventually got released in Quad.

Markie, I don't know about Nyro's New York Tendaberry as ever having a QUAD remix but this is from Mark Anderson's QUADRAPHONIC DISCOGRAPHY and he did state this album was remixed into QUAD by Jim Reeves but never released [and it is a fantastic album}!
