My vinyl copy sounds great...but this simply blows it clean away....I will be playing the blu obviously going forward. Did I say I like it yet? Woo hoo!!
This is a WHOLE different album in 5.1. I mean, this is really just stunning music....and an incredible experience listening in 5.1. Finally, Styx in surround...and it sounds like the Styx of old....old meaning Grand Illusion and prior. WOW!!! For me, this is one of their very best. No joke.
Are you using DVDAE or something else? I tried to rip Quadrophenia Bluray the other day with DVDAE and it was a no go too... seems like people who use MakeMKV have the most luck, but I always forget how to do it, lol!I'm trying to rip this and I got into a bit of trouble...I hope this isn't one of those that has "ripping issues"
I ripped first 11 songs...then it blew up. UGH. I'm working on it....that was the DTS HD Master....now I'm starting over and trying to rip it with the Dolby True HD stream...fingers crossed...
DVDAE - I have the latest and greatest...which has historically tackled bluray super easily...Are you using DVDAE or something else? I’m pretty sure you do need audiomuxer... I’m at work now, though, so no link...sorry to derail this thread......with the new forum...I can't find any of my old threads...
Another question - I had to download MakeMKV as I lost the program with my laptop crash. Do I now need Audiomuxer to deal with the MKV file? If yes, anyone have a safe link for Audiomuxer? Geez....

Garry's (HomerJAU) Music Media Helper is great after using MKV, don't have to do anything just push a button!sorry to derail this thread......with the new forum...I can't find any of my old threads...

And...then there is the problem of knowing "which" one of all these to choose. When I expand the obvious ones...they all have the exact same audio choices...so who knows?Yes, you first use MakeMKV, then extract the audio from the .MKV file with Audiomuxer. It's a pretty painless process.
Of course, you are right.....it's just a thrill to rip these things.....get the album art in order and fire up Foobar.......but...I'm just odd that way.Gene, rather than get your mind in a 'tizzy,' you have a NEW Oppo 203 which I'm sure is better [even incrementally] than your 103 so JUST ENJOY it. You have a ton of discs, BD~Vs included, the unit does require a break~in period so rather than neurose about ripping them [at this moment] sit back and manually insert the discs and behold the aural/visual beauty off the unit. Just a suggestion 3.0!

There are 14 songs....and none of those say 14. 2 of them say 15......seems like throwing darts.I would go with which ever one has the same amount of chapters as there are songs.
