I think Steven is fan of Goldfrapp. If I recall, they talked about how much they appreciated Goldfrapp’s first album in their podcast The Album Years.

It can happen, as Goldfrapp already released some of their albums in surround!

Since Wilson is not a fan of Dream Theater, I would like to see Stephen W Tayler get a crack at it. Anyone know how Wilson feels about Greenslade? I would love to hear them properly mixed in surround

Dream Theater
not really. To him (and myself) they represent the worst excesses of prog rock.
Sure, some of their stuff... Their older albums are iconic though. I wouldn't call Images and Words overly excessive. It's not for everyone, but it is hard to argue that the lyrics, songwriting, and musicianship on their older albums was not a cut above other prog bands of the 90's.

I would really like to see SW remix any of Shearwater's Rook, The Golden Archipelago, Animal Joy, or Jet Plane and Oxbow. Given that he's made a new mix for Loma's upcoming album, and that some of these albums have been in his top ten list of previous years, I am still hopeful. Only issue would be demand as they are not super well-known. I did message the band a few years back suggesting it and they sounded somewhat interested, so who knows.

Nearly everything Dream Theater released up to Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence (included) is outstanding IMO. Not really interested in their most recent output expect for the odd song here and there, but their earlier albums show absolutely terrific songwriting and are "desert island albums" for me.

Personally, I think Six Degrees and Awake would benefit the most from the surround treatment, even though Images and Words and Scenes from a Memory are arguably just as good or even stronger albums.
