Good to win. Happy
Good to win. Happy
My opinion from last night are the Browns are a more balanced team, and if the QB is playing well, they can beat most teams. What gives with the Bengals? They looked like an up and coming bunch that went to the Super Bowl last year, but are a .500 team. The Browns beat them soundly last night.
The Rams record is even worse, but they deserve it because of those silly royal-on-royal uniforms. LOL (Do they still wear them?)
Arguably the all-time biggest "if" in NFL football....and if the QB is playing well, they can beat most teams...
It would seem in many other cases to be better described as "if the offensive line is playing well/not too banged up with injuries" for any given team.Arguably the all-time biggest "if" in NFL football.
Yes…squared. A great O-line keeps their defense off the field and the other team‘s defense on the field. How many games have we seen where a defense falls apart late in the game because they are gassed? It would seem in many other cases to be better described as "if the offensive line is playing well/not too banged up with injuries" for any given team.
You can win with a backup QB so long as the line play is solid, and thats both pass protection, and the ability to threaten with a credible rushing attack.

Well then, unlike Marinelli, you didn't produce an 0-16 season. Or am I missing something?I'm Steve Mariucci.
Wow, the Jim Caldwell era looking like somewhat of a recent golden era, comparatively speaking.I'm Steve Mariucci. And this is a sad tale of the tape

Wow... Detroit is a really tough place to win at. When you look at the numbers, it's very telling.
Just go ask the Lions 1942 coach Bull Karcis. He went 0-11 in his 1 year @ the helm.
Great name there.
...& now back to reality; I can see the Lions beating GB this wk. They tend to give GB fits in Detroit & besides GB is heading downward fast.
You beat us the last game of the yr. @ Detroit. Granted, the game didn't mean that much at the time for GB.Im not seeing it. Rodgers. Their season is in limbo. Cheezies come out pissed. My Lions lose by 17 and the boo birds come out in force. ( Please Lord, prove me wrong. ).
You beat us the last game of the yr. @ Detroit. Granted, the game didn't mean that much at the time for GB.
But GB has now lost 4 in a row. Rodgers isn't the QB he was before, he has virtually no wrs. & O-line has been bad. GB lost 3 wrs & 2 O-linemen from last years team. Some wanted out... I wonder why?.. & some they couldn't afford to pay since after 'greedy' Rodgers took his 42M they couldn't pay all the rest.
Seriously, I wish they would have traded him. I know of other gb fans who feel the same way! Some team probably would have over paid like Denver did for R.Wilson. Look at Denver now?
The 'Cheezies' lack motivation. LaFleur is in over his head. No way Lions loss by 17. The last four games against GB when Detroit was home & lost, they lost by 7,3,7 & 4 points. Plus, there were a few games in there that Detroit won.
GB is only a 3.5 point favorite.
In the past, the old Silverdom was a bad place to play for GB. Ford field isn't much better! Though, it seems the lighting is better!
Yes, I know I sound bitter....I guess we'll see Sunday...

totally agree that Rodgers should have been traded. He has lost his desire, his drive. It was all about the money. He and his agent 'played' the Packers pretty bad and the GB management cowered and caved in. That sent toxicity into the lockerroom. I like the Pack. Have always had respect on how the organization was managed and the product they put on the field. Management bungled the Rodgers situation and its sad to see the results. I think the Pack is going to be mediocre for a few years until they retool. But - overall imbobman - you should not be bitter. Look at the run you guys have had. Lets just hope the retool does not take 65 plus years like some other team I know
I stand by my prediction. Pack by 17
I love to hear you two going back and forth here. They don't call it "The Black and Blue" division for nothing. Strange and lovely things can happen for a home dog in a rivalry game, however my prediction is:
Packers by a field goal...late.
That's what I mean by Black and Blue division...You fight each other even by claiming that your respective team is going to lose.whats ironic here is that Im trying to convince him that his team is going to win and he is trying to convince me that my team will win. Isnt it supposed to be " your team blows and my team is world dominant - Lions by 62 - easily ! " Where is the chest thumping and braggadocio by either one of us ?
We must be grounded QQ gentlemen.
Maybe that way we are not so disappointed when they do loss....That's what I mean by Black and Blue division...You fight each other even by claiming that your respective team is going to lose.
