totally agree that Rodgers should have been traded. He has lost his desire, his drive. It was all about the money. He and his agent 'played' the Packers pretty bad and the GB management cowered and caved in. That sent toxicity into the lockerroom. I like the Pack. Have always had respect on how the organization was managed and the product they put on the field. Management bungled the Rodgers situation and its sad to see the results. I think the Pack is going to be mediocre for a few years until they retool. But - overall imbobman - you should not be bitter. Look at the run you guys have had. Lets just hope the retool does not take 65 plus years like some other team I know

I stand by my prediction. Pack by 17
I agree with a lot of what you said but you are too kind in many ways. It's good to hear another perspective on this other than just the typical 'die hard' packer fans or the local media. Though there are some pretty good podcasts on YouTube that are unbias.
GB has been very 'fortunate' to have had the success they have had for the past 30 yrs. ( thanks to Bob Harlan hiring Ron Wolf, who hired Mike Holmgren, getting Favre from Atlanta- Thank you Jerry Glanville!, Rodgers falling in the draft to the end of the 1st round...etc & so it went..). It took 'em about 25 yrs. from 1972 (a 'fluke' NFC central title) until they really turned it around. '92 is when things 'finally' started improving. It has been a great run!
I think GB will be down for many yrs., maybe starting now, since the back up QB J.Love has shown nothing & is likely to be a bust! They also have really mortgaged the future with the cap moves.

I will say, I still think Detroit is headed in the right direction! Hope you have a consistent winner soon.
I guess I'm one of the most critical fans when I watch the Packers. I tend to see the mistakes over the good things. But I still watch.
.....No way GB wins by 17😀. Hope it's an entertaining game...

You cannot imagine what it was like here when I was in grammar school. All I heard was "Green Bay this and Green Bay that." Vince Lombardi was the Pack's head coach, and he used to coach a NJ high school football team. Consequently, people here were so enamored of Lombardy and the Packers that one would believe the team to be located in New Jersey. I was so sick of hearing about Green Bay that, in a fit of insanity, I became a Dallas Cowboy's fan* (as a proxy for the Jets.)

Notre Dame's following was, and still is, even more extreme given the large Roman Catholic population here. There were so many people into ND that, as I small boy, I thought the school was located in New Brunswick, NJ. ND is the biggest "get on the bandwagon" team in the universe, even more so than the America's Team. Being sick of hearing "Notre Dame this and Notre Dame that," I came to despise the team. So what happens? My stepson ends up going to ND and I am doomed for all eternity to root for the team.

* I was actually a huge Tom Landry fan. Such a fine gentleman. I am still so pissed at the way Jerry screwed over Landry that I get on my knees and pray every night for the Cowboys to lose painfully followed by Monday morning taunts from Stephen A. (Sorry Troy. You're a fine man too, but what Jerry did to Tom was pure blasphemy.)

whats freaky is that the Upper Penninsula in Michigan is all about the Packers. They dont assimilate with Detroit and its Lions. Of course most TV and radio in the UP is from Wisconsin and if you live in Western UP you are an hour away from Green Bay versus 10 hours to Detroit

Unacceptable, under any circumstances.
My stepson ends up going to ND and I am doomed for all eternity to root for the team.
Perfectly acceptable.

Now you're talkin'. Landry was a class act and a true innovator, always fully respected in NY for both playing and coaching defense in the 1950s glory era. Jerry got very lucky with landing Jimmie Johnson to navigate the draft pick haul from the Herschel Walker trade, had that not come together they way it did, there probably wouldn't be a house that Jerry built.

Today was the first Jets game of the season that I watched from start to finish. Early on, it seemed to have that divisional game “odor”…a harbinger that the visiting team favorite was going to have real problems.

By the middle of the 4th quarter, the Jets were running through the Bills defense like a knife through butter.

Things in the AFC East are getting very interesting. I hope that Josh Allen isn’t hurt. He was definitely having difficulties on those last two throws.

Im starting to think that the Jets are absolutely the real deal

Well, Shiver me Timbers !!

Imbobman ---you called this correctly. I salute you
Thanks cbmmm3, congrats on the win.
It was a hard one to watch & even harder to swallow. GB is officially a ' bottomfeeder'.

Before the game, I thought the Lions would win then changed my mind to a close GB win. Stupid me..
Then right away when I saw the way Packers came out & got behind early, I thought it would go bad.
It did😣.... Rodgers 3 picks, 2 in red zone. Plenty of blame to around. 5 losses in a row & counting... Sort of happy for Detroit & their fans on getting a win. Especially against the Packers!
Detroit is no world beater but they out played GB.
It doesn't get any easier either for gb. The next 3 games are: Dallas, Tenn. & Philly.
Would have been nice if at least Minn. would have lost...

Bucs defense wins one! Miami offense and the refs win one!
The Bucs receivers really had a case of the dropsies yesterday. When Scotty Miller botched that sure TD pass late in the game, I thought it was over for the Bucs given their karma this season. But their defense rose to the task, Brady remained unfazed my Miller's disastrous drop, kept throwing to him on the last drive, and the rest is Brady history...yet again.

The AFC East is looking like a real powerhouse division right now. That is good. A little increased hatred among the teams makes for great football.

@Sonik Wiz ...just checking up on you to make sure you survived yet another wild ending cooked up by the Chefs.
It was a pretty crazy NFL Sunday. Bills lost and the Chiefs won against the Titans, even if it took 5 quarters to do it. Most in the KC area have given up expecting the Chiefs to accrue 14 points 1st quarter with widening point spread as the game goes on. But OT games are always exciting. Actually it's more stressful on my wife who paces around at a high speed, in & out of the TV room. But I have to watch it to the very end. Glad I did last night!

I looked at the standings this morning and things are really shakin' out now. Cream is rising to the top.
Niners should be well rested after there bye and open back up with a Sunday night game at home with Chargers.
Seabirds, where the heck did they came from, 6 wins and top of NFC West, Rams and Cardinals look like there finished?
Lots of football still to go this year.

Set the alarm clocks early Sunday! "Seabirds" vs Bucs from Germany @ 9:30am.
