Seems like the (team) constantly pick someone & it doesn't work:

Number of head coaches by team during Belichick's run as the Pats head coach:

https://sports.yahoo.com/many-head-coaches-did-nfl-025411726.html

Remarkably, @GOS Bears only had 6 and the Jets only 7.

@cbmmm3 Lions and @Willie Wilson Browns had 12.

But they were all outdone by the Raiders who had 14.

Thanks AR, Interesting article...
NE, Pittsburgh & Baltimore are at the head of the class here,
Oakland , Detroit & Cleveland the most HCs during that time. Maybe the Jets & Bears aren't doing that bad then?
Nah, they still are!

What a sad statement it is that of those five teams, only one, the Lions, has found its way out of the woods. The Browns and Raiders are just bad organizations. Each has money yet the owners are impetuous, impatient, inept and overall failures. Can’t fire the boss, I guess.

Kudos to the Lions for hiring a coach and GM and letting them build a team rather than tearing it down every few years like the bad teams do.

What the real catalyst in this 'change' of the Lions organization was the change in owner. Still in the Ford family, but Billy and Mrs Ford stepped aside and gave the keys to daughter Sheila Hamp. She is a smart, honest and genuine person. ( rare in NFL circles ). This is what is the root of the successful change is.

Glad for you and all Lions fans that they’ve found a solution. Long time coming. You are right that Hamp is a rarity among her peers. Must make the old school boys seethe to see a traditionally bad team turn it around under a woman and a former player turned coach. Super Lions - Super Bowl!

And don't forget that you have Mad Dan as head coach. I wish the Jets had Dan Campbell...crazy as he is.

The late Georgia Frontiere would understand.

RickyPicks sent me an email about pizza. Pizza from Bunker Hill Chill and Grill or from Russo's. Both located in the bustling town of Burnips. Told him he's not getting squat unless he gets over here and shovels the driveway.
Then the football talk started - most likely for him to deflect from having to do some work. From the mouth of Mister .900 -----

Stafford - playing GREAT. Puka and Kupp are playing great. San Fran is in a 'do or die" situation and is playing at home. RickyPicks says that the Rams defensive unit will put big pressure on Purdy. And MC is out - so there goes a bit of the MarkieNiners offense that could counteract
Can wearing Bosa socks solve all Niner issues ?

Nope - RickyPicks goes with the Rams once again.
