Good football weekend. My back is thrashed from all the sitting.
Results, all the home teams won except for Detroit, that was a loss no one expected.
Congrats to Sonik and the other winners.

Both upcoming Championship games should be great. Weather could be a factor as both are outside, but all 4 teams are cold winter outside teams.

AFC, definitely rooting for Buffalo all the way.

NFC, likely will go on record for Philly as my wife is from Philly and her entire family still lives there. Secretly will be rooting for Washington.

I always like to have a East vs West Super Bowl as it brings in most of the country, KC is as far west as it will go this year if they make it.

Down in New Orleans.
Just say no to Washington.

we went to our local bakeries to get our slice of humble pie. yesterday - Sunday - the whole state of Michigan was depressed and - some say - on suicide watch ;)
Just hope your window stays open. Lions could lose both coordinators plus whatever free agents. Its hard to get to the top. Its harder still to stay there.

truthfully, Im ready for a new DC
The inauguration is today. ;)

I'm beginning to wonder if Joe Flacco put some sort of curse on the Ravens when he left, @Bill B . Yeah, Lamar did turn the ball over twice yesterday, but he did bring the team back only to have one of the most reliable receivers in the league have a bad day. Geez, this game can be so unforgiving.

I keep hearing that if the 2 point conversion were successful, the Ravens would have won the game and we wouldant be talking about turnovers. But Allen and the Bills would have gotten the ball back with about 90 seconds left and all 3 time outs. I think the Bills would have still won the game.

Very true. Plus if the Ravens didn't turn the ball over, it would have affected what the Bills did subsequently; and the Bills may have been more aggressive with their play calling. If both teams had played a turnover-free game, the Bills still may have won the contest.

As a neutral observer, I would have preferred to see a turnover free game. I hate to see players on elite teams get the crap beat out of them all season, make it to this game, and then get eliminated because someone had a bad day.

[Edit: Of course that doesn't apply if they play the Jets, in which case I want every player on the other team to play the worst games of their lives. You know, like Earl Morrall in SB III.]

“What ifs” are a waste of time. What happened, happened.

Of course youre right. But it does change the publics perception from Baltimore lost the game to Buffalo won the game. Same result. Different perception.
I'm not a big fan of arranging the facts to support a narrative. It cannot be denied that the Ravens had 3 big time turnovers and a pivotal drop while Buffalo played a conservative, mistake free game. Amazingly, even with 3 turnovers, the Ravens still had a chance to win right up until the end and failed. Not sure what else you want to convey.

Again, so true. The hate mail that Mark Andrew's girlfriend was getting on her Instagram account after the game was really sick. Totally shameful.
That's really sad. I'm not big on blaming one guy for a loss. It was a team effort. We had plenty of opportunities during the game. The fact that we had to rely on one play at the end just shows how we didn't take care of business the other 59 minutes of the game.
