That's right! If you are figuring in dog years🐶

Sonik, sorry for your loss, I know the feeling. KC is still a great team.
...& history will keep the curse of the 15 win teams alive & it took another down😩
I would say that people older than 60 and retirees are not the NFL’s primary audience. They want those who are 18-45, both single and with families, who need vehicles, insurance, financial advisors and alcohol. The presumption is that the game is engrained in the viewing habits of older people and their support is not essential as they have been watching for decades and won’t easily give up the game itself. As it always has been, the ever-present goal is to grow new audiences.

In terms of the performance by Kendrick Lamar, it is representative of popular culture. According to wiki, he is a 2018 Pulitzer Prize winner for music, has won 22 Grammy awards and is one of the most influential rappers of all time.

The halftime show was on par with any major concert or theatrical production. The choreography, dancing and staging was top-notch. Lamar’s message, while delivered through rap music, is universal. He is a deep thinker and a socially-conscious storyteller.

If one is not into the current pop/rap scene, I can certainly understand being disinterested. However, I think it’s important to appreciate artists, regardless of style, who make a difference in their respective genres and the world at-large.
..as far as the half time performance..I saw none of it & am glad I used that part of my life on something else!

sorry. Im not into "deep thinking" when it comes to SB Halftime. Im into music. Bass, guitars, drums, Hammond Organs, background singers --and REAL singers.
I dont need someone to read a story in a mono tone. I need an artistic performance. Sing with expression. Perform like you enjoy life.

Anyways - congrats to the Eagles

KC wanted to stop the run, but the Eagles burned them with the pass and they kicked their ... That was so good to watch.:dance
Yes, I agree! Barkley didn't run wild but KC had to prepare & play to stop the run. So it got them in other areas.
Going in, I knew Philly had great wrs, TE,etc.& Hurts is an excellent qb. Not in the class of Mahomes but still great!
Their D is better than KCs & they proved it!
It was a very entertaining game to watch....

Wow. Mahones made some incredibly stupid passes. Desperation will do that I guess. But KC did not show up last night and Philly did with a defense that was rock solid.

I was more into College ball in the last 10 years I guess, though I did watch NFL periodically.
I finally got soured on College football as well, especially when Florida State had won all games and were denied an opportunity for the playoffs. Then there's all this transfer crap going on, we probably would have lost in the playoffs anyway. Guys get a free education, training, then bail at the last second because they don't want to get hurt ahead of the NFL drafts. I think it sucks.
No one wanted the ACC in the playoffs, that was pretty darn clear.

I used to work in R&D at a factory near Gainesville...maybe about 1000-1200 people. Out of all those I knew maybe 3 who weren't Gator fans. Always amazed me how fanatical many of the Gator fans were, I'm talking get ugly and mean if you brought up Florida State...never been any love lost between the two teams for sure. I guess it was sort of amusing in a way how you could fire them up so easily.

On the Boomer & Gio show Monday morning after the Super Bowl on the CBS Sports Network, Boomer said it was the worst halftime show he's ever seen. Boomer said he didn't understand a word Lamar said, the broadcasting was terrible and overall it was the worst Super Bowl he's ever witnessed. It was good to see the Chiefs take a good ass whooping marring their dynasty status as no other dynasty team has ever gotten their butts kicked like the Chiefs did last night.

Instead of watching the halftime show I had dinner with my wife. She was surprised to see me.

I agree it was the worst halftime show ive seen. Maybe you need to be a mega Rap fan to appreciate it. The vocal was so bad it needed subtitles.

In that case, I’m guessing the last HT show you enjoyed was over a decade ago (or maybe longer) 😂

I just took another look at the SB halftime shows by the aged Who and Stones in the mid '00s. Back then I thought that they looked ancient and shouldn't be on the stage for such a worldwide event. But when I watch those performances now, the bands don't appear to be as old as what I had perceived. So your point is well noted. 🧙‍♂️

Wow, that is a really mean post, Andy. True to our NJ roots! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Congrats to Eagles fans, wish KC put up a better fight, not the dogfight I was hoping for.
Noe that is over.
