This is getting hilarious.

After getting no shipping confirmation on my order still showing $39.99 full list price, I placed a second order at Amazon from importcds as above.

When I attempted to cancel my original order, immediately got a "too late, already in shipment" email.
I ordered The Big Express from Burning Shed late Thursday (my time) / early Friday (their time), for a total price of $35.90 converted from pounds, but they hadn't shipped it yet, so I went ahead with the Amazon/importCDs order, late on Saturday night, since it saved me almost $8 and will (presumably) get here much faster, shipping domestically. But if Burning Shed doesn't cancel and refund my order, as I requested via email, then the Amazon order saved me negative $27.92! Oh well, that way I'll get the Colin-signed postcard, if they haven't run out of those already, and I could always sell the extra set.

I've never tried to cancel a Burning Shed order before; anyone else have experience with that? In general their customer service seems very good, so I'm not too concerned.

Quick follow-up, for anyone who stumbles upon my last post and wanted to act on it:

I received The Big Express set today, very fast delivery from importCDs, whose warehouse is less than 100 miles from me. Others have often complained about slow shipping or other issues with them; I've never had a problem.

However, importCDs no longer has The Big Express set in stock, so the deal I mentioned before is no longer available through Amazon, nor can you buy it directly from importCDs. As of this moment, anyway; they might restock later.

As for Burning Shed: as I hoped and expected, they responded quickly to my email requesting to cancel my order from them and I received the refund in my credit card account today. I consider Burning Shed a top-notch business, artist-driven but customer-oriented, and if only they had a U.S.-based outlet to make shipping less expensive and quicker for those of us on this side of the pond, I'd buy from them much more frequently.

You can use 25 for a 25% discount at DGM Live. It makes Exposures a great deal at $153 but the shipping to the US pushes it over the Amazon price.
Still, anything not on pre-order so it has quite a bit of value.

The code expired at midnight yesterday.

For future reference, the US shop ships from LA.

At checkout, there is a pull-down menu for shipping options that offers media mail for less than the default first class postage.

It seems to be a one-person operation, slow to ship, but responsive to inquiries in my experience.

COUPON

I just ordered the Bitches Brew Quad SACD from Amazon U.S., with free international shipping from Amazon Japan, for $41.24 plus tax. Not sure if that's a breakthrough price or anything, but it was by far the lowest I've seen recently when you take the free shipping into account. I'm a Prime member, but I don't think you have to be in order to get the free shipping from Japan for this item, if you live in the U.S. anyway.
