There are a couple of roadrunners around where I live (we're in a suburb, but there are dozens of wooded acres in behind us due to a stormwater reservoir). Only see one rarely. A few years ago saw one perched on the peak of a rooftop a few houses down from us. Another time a roadrunner was on the front porch and we scared the crap out of each other when I came out the front door. They really can run fast!
