Wow, that's a great shot!

Yeah for some reason I was able to get some good eye contact with Ozzy throughout the show. I seemed to make him laugh a couple times with some of my enthusiastic motions. Of course, it could always be my imagination.

He looks a lot older than in your avatar. But it was surreal seeing him up that close when he first came out on stage. Here’s another from last night.

Ozzy really seemed happy and thrilled to be performing. It was at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, IL.

Sadly I can't make it, but tomorrow (Tuesday 2nd Oct.) at the Union Chapel in Islington is a gig showcasing/celebrating 10 years of KScope, and Giancarlo will be doing a set.

I saw Al Di Meola Saturday as part of his Acoustic Trio. Just a pianist, accordion player and Al. Very good show but ticket sales were very, very low. Jordan Rudess from Dream Theater did a solo opening act on the grand piano. Very good also.

Oh, I know, but sometimes that's when bands are at their best. The first time I saw U2, they were playing to 500 people at a free concert in an open field. They were on fire. When I saw them 20 years later (for $150), they seemed bored.

I agree...and you used a great example...the early U2 songs were the best...but then Bono just wanted to be a star and the music became secondary...

I agree, but there’s something about their last two albums I really like. Especially, Songs of Experience. I lost them after War but the last album I purchased was The Unforgettable Fire which I hardly played. Nowadays, I’m getting to like Achtung Baby. And the album I didn’t care for at all (because of the hits) The Joshua Tree, I’m opening up to because the non hits are quite good. I have their 18 Singles album too.

Hmmm - I don't own a single U2 album....nor have I ever heard one straight through.

There are some great deep cuts on that album. "Red Hill Mining Town" is my favorite. I could never understand how that one got overlooked. I really love "Running to Stand Still" too.

Hey everybody - I don't usually post my own gigs on here, but this October I'm doing something really cool that I want to share with you all, especially if you live in or near London or Liverpool.

I'm going to be subbing for the lead guitarist of a Columbus, Ohio, '60s tribute band called "The British Invasion", and we're doing an 8-day tour in England in October. We'll be playing at The Casbah and The Cavern Club in Liverpool, and The Half Moon in Putney.

And for all of you who have never been to England and have always wanted to check out the British invasion sights, you can join the tour: The British Invasion Tour 2018.

Of course the main reason I'm posting this here is hoping I can meet some of you from across the pond.

Well, everybody, tomorrow is a big day for me as I take my first trip across the Atlantic. I temporarily changed my avatar for the time that I'm gone because I'm going with a tribute band called "The British Invasion" (although that's my guitar in the picture, it's not my hair!!!). We're playing a show in Liverpool at the Cavern Club on Sunday, 7th October (I'm practicing my English as you can see), and in London at the Half Moon on Thursday, 11th October.

My wife and I will be spending a day with a fellow QQ member (and his wife) with whom I became acquainted (but never actually met) back when I offered to send copies of "Six String Theory" to countries where it wasn't sold. I can't begin to tell you all how exciting this is for me.
