Ask the label. A friend has received 2 copies, one that was still the faulty disc, and then a corrected one. I boycotted this edition as it contained Vinyl.

I emailed Rhino- hopefully the fact that I didn't buy it from them won't be an issue.

Strange that I'd seen nothing about a replacement before your post.

And do these sale versions have the corrected replacement disc?

With respect, there is no credibility to this assertion without a photo of a unique matrix number on a replacement disc or correspondence from Rhino.

Claiming one received a defective disc and being supplied a replacement with the same matrix number that doesn't exhibit the anomaly is not the same as a manufacturing issue IMHO.

Do you know what the problem(s) is/are with the original disc? I haven't been able to listen to it yet due to my recent move.
The authoring causes the first moments of any selected track to be silent on some systems. It's an HDMI handshake issue common to many discs. The usual workaround is to start playing and skip or rewind to the beginning, but some report that it doesn't work on this release.

Dadgummit, I'm calling bullshit on this second hand news rumor mongering, without credible evidence other than hearsay, that there are two versions of the blu ray. 😤

For fook's sake, this release is at the very top of the polls with a perfect score of 10.0.

I recall some early, though not widespread, reports along the lines of what @JediJoker described in post #267. I do not recall any reports of Rhino acknowledging a flaw and/or offering a "replacement disc."

All, most curious if anyone else is experiencing a loss of the initial note of "Yours Is No Disgrace." I have confirmed that this is the case on the Apple Music Atmos version, which I checked after speaking with an audiophile who has confirmed that this occurs on all the codecs of the Blu-ray in the new box set across two different players. Beyond that, I certainly like the new Atmos mix... but wishing for a stand alone as I have no desire for vinyl. So, anyone else noticed this approx 1/2 second cut-off at the start of Yours Is No Disgrace?
Actually, YES! Annoying. On all three versions of the track on blu-ray. If I allow the track to start and then press 'previous' on the Oppo 205 remote, it 'goes back' and starts properly. I have this problem on some other blu-rays too - so it has almost become automatic to do this. But I guess it really shouldn't be. I think this was discussed on another thread at one time. Any ideas on how to 'fix', anyone?
Yikes! That is weird - skipping back definitely works for me, but if not for others that is not good. As that first blast of YIND is kind of critical! Look forward to other experiences on this one...
I just tested all my BLU RAY rips, stereo's, 5.1 and ATMOS of the 2023 The Yes Album.
At least with my rip there is no cut off of the beginning of Yours No Disgrace.
I have not tried the hard disc.
Yet another excellent reason to offer a standalone blu-ray (corrected of course)!;)

There was well-intentioned discussion of this back on January 5 that went nowhere.

It's well-known that various configurations of HDMI handshaking can cause these anomalies on more than just this one particular release.

I pretty much always have hdmi handshake issues on any disc- my AVRs (at least the last 3) have to see what the audio codec is and then negotiate a handshake, which causes dropouts of around 3 seconds- movies as well as music discs. But I can always work around this by starting the disc on mute, letting the handshake complete, then hitting the back button and un-muting. But this work-around does not work on my copy of the Yes Album Deluxe (playing through an Oppo 103).

False hope that there is a replacement disc that will solve your problem, based on what a friend told a guy who refused to buy it because of vinyl, is not helpful IMHO. 😵

Regarding the delays in tracks starting, handshake, etc.
This is another problem I never have.
I use JRiver and there are many improvement listening settings and a great forum for problem solving.
I never have the delay as in my JRiver settings I can set album track start to whatever, I have mine se to 4 seconds, this allows the time for my AVR to sync, or handshake, whatever the appropriate word is.
You can also set fade to start, fade to finish, a lot, I can't remember them all, and of course you can set gap or gapless.
I am aware of the issue, because when listening to music via Apple4K, stereo or Atmos, you get that fraction of a second delay, just hit the back button and all solved.
Muting/unmuting that sounds like a real hassle.

Here is the Matrix and front side of the replacement my friend was sent. I do not have the set to compare with the original.

OK, thanks for that. I have an Oppo UDP-205, so no HDMI involved, guess it won't affect me. 🤞

I wonder how SW has all these sessions archived. Are all his original 5.1 mixes just sitting on a hard drive, as a Logic session ready to go for Atmos? Or is he going back to the multitracks and working from scratch? I assume he is ready to revisit any of his old 5.1 mixes for Atmos at this point.

Whatever he is doing, there is an improvement to an already excellent 5.1.

Thank you, sir!

I make that matrix number as EN07060-01, which is in fact different from what is on my blu ray and what is documented on the discogs release page.

I am eating crow for breakfast with my coffee this morning.
I apologize for my rant.

I never doubted your integrity or sincerity, you came through with goods.
