I gave it a try. Didn't know quite what to make of it... Lost it at eps 2 with the profound pathos & violence. Curiosity satisfied I won't be going back.

Instead tonight One Piece!!

LOVE THIS SHOW. Over 10K ❤️ from Netflix viewers, a very high Rotten Tomato Score and an equally impressive critical thumbs up. INCREDIBLE Production values, a winning cast and a GREAT IMMERSIVE soundtrack. 4K/Dolby Vision

ONE MORE episode to go, SW ...AM LOVING EVERY MINUTE. NETFLIX HAS A WINNER HERE!

Hoping for a Season Two!
Must agree about very good casting choices. Much to my surprise I see Iñaki Godoy who plays the star Luffy is of Mexican heritage. Makes the show even more amazing to me.
This guy is great & I look forward to seeing what he is in beyond this.

1971: The Year That Music Changed Everything — Official Trailer | Apple TV+

*somehow I've missed this Apple TV+ 2021 8-part music docu-series about 1971.
Caught the first show last night, and was very moved by it; it just felt like home base for my life.
I do see some comments online though, that many big bands like Led Zeppelin weren't included in the series.

However, from what I've seen so far, it's two big (y) (y) from me (and it fits right in with the upcoming 'Who's Next' box!)

Thanks Pupster I just watched the first two episodes. Kind of a cultural exploration of pop music reflecting and creating the politics of its time from a certain viewpoint. Well worth watching.

Pupster I have finished watching all the episodes of 1971 and recommend it. Lots of Bowie and soul music in there. Perhaps spends excess time with the black power movement and associated music groups but lots to learn going on here and In England such as the OZ periodical obscenity trial. I was kind of surprised how much time was devoted to Alice Cooper. A little bit of German music was covered like early Kraftwerk.
If someone asks what was going on in 1971 this is where to direct them.

So far only through the 3rd episode for me (or maybe 4 ) it was mostly about the OZ stuff. So, was there ever a mention of Led Zeppelin in this show as someone criticized it for (the Hippie-Flower child era wasn't quite dead yet at that time, as they say?) Some mention of Pink Floyd IIRC.

Somebody brought a copy of the banned OZ into school during the trial, us 14 year olds were some what amused/startled by the pictures which caused the fuss!

Pupster don't recall the zepp slipped in but there will be snippets of songs played with the titles identified watch for them. A Can song was played but no discussion of them for instance. Period concert clips and period interviews the Dick Cavett show appears several times. I thought the Bowie audio clips were very interesting.

Foundation- Season 3?

With all the talk of the ‘death’ of major characters; I’m not sure it’s as relevant as assumed; given all the cloning, body switches, lifelike holographic trickery, witchcraft and other chicanery.

I find the show interesting, but hard to wrap my head around everything that’s going on in this show’s universe. However, if they decide to go ahead with a season 3, I’ll watch it.

I finished watching season 2 and there were some standout episodes.
I look forward to a season 3.
I read the books in high school so my memory is dim but a great many liberties were taken with the story line and casting choices from what Isaac Asimov wrote.
However coming up with the genetic dynasty was a brilliant addition.
I sure hope they continue with this.
