Finally watched Penguin Episode 1 on HBO and agree Colin Farrell's portrayal is Emmy worthy but felt the ending was totally implausible wherein his young Latin protege flawlessly delivers the body in the trunk to the mafia estate replete with missing pinky finger and the warning sign PAYBACK inscribed on the inside of the trunk!

Otherwise, a riveting series, indeed! Farrell's portrayal is brilliant!

Colin Farrell Looks Unrecognizable As The Penguin In The First Trailer ...
Implausible? Perhaps, but it IS based on comic book characters, after all.

Watched first TWO episodes tonight.

If you liked Ryan Murphy’s AMERICAN HORROR STORY anthology then this series is a MUST SEE!
Yeah, I caught the first episode; thought similar to the AHS style for sure. Is it the same showrunners???. Some of the AHS stuff is OK, but a lot of it is just too intense for me; just don't want all that ultra creepy stuff crawling around in my brain 🫨🪳🕷️... I'll need to consider if I can handle it

I thought the characters were well etched out especially the bat shit crazy nun and the self flagellating priest and the detective and her off the wall family! Yes, it was grisly especially Episode II and look forward to all succeeding episodes! Don't be a WUSS, 🐶

Vikings: Valhalla | Season 3 Official Trailer | Netflix
*finished watching season 3 of this show the other night, sad to say there will be no season 4; but I really wasn't ready for it to end, seemed like there was more story to be had.
-this show was a follow up to the show "Vikings" on (History / Amazon Prime) and well worth the watch IMO.

COMING September 25th from Producer Ryan Murphy and streaming on FX and HULU

Ryan Murphy's new HULU series Grotesquerie is getting CURIOUSER and CURIOUSER.

Episode three features Kansas City Chief's tight end [and Swifty Squeeze] Travis Kelce in a bizarre but delightful cameo which also carries over briefly into Episode four.

I am thoroughly enjoying this series.

WAY out of the ordinary!

I did catch that second episode. The conversation & dynamics at the dining room table with Detective Tryon & family was very well done I thought (it also has some wonderful dialog in it.)

Also one of my favorite actors 'Lesley Manville' playing the wacky Nurse Redd who Det. Tryon is butting heads with, is a real treat. And speaking of Lesley Manville, she's also currently on another fav. show on PBS called "Moonflower Murders"- be sure to catch that one if you can!

and be sure to catch the first part of this series called "Magpie Murders"

Secrets of the Dead - PBS
Mozart's Sister

*if you're a fan of classical music, this is a must watch show IMO. Too much for me to unpack here; but mainly about Maria Anna Mozart, her shared appreciation between her and her brother, and how the times she lived in, tossed away what may have been one of our more talented composers. Along with her father, Maria- aka "Nannerl" taught Amadeus about playing/composing; and Amadeus glowed over her compositions, but her music is either lost forever or buried in private collections somewhere.
Also has a Transcript under the video if interested.

Absolutely brilliant, JP! Mozart's older sister Maria Anna was a huge part of his inspiration and a lifelong collaborator but sadly, being a woman in the 18th century was never taken seriously as both a virtuoso pianist and composer. Her compositions are lost to the ages!
