what's your BD player?

WE have both an LG BP620 and a Sony BDP S3100 BluRay. I checked the spec sheets. Neither supports SACD I know my old Denon CD changer plays SACD but I've never tried it. I doubt there is an HDMI in the back I'll have to check later. Thanks for the info.

Lets see, a few new ones Eric Clapton Reptile DVDA. Im quite liking this one, was prepared to be underwhelmed by the music from what I read here but there is a stellar group of muscians playing some nice laid back music. And that guitar player......

America Homecoming DVDA. Finally got a copy. Great fidelity, great mix, thanks Elliot! This is what to reach for when you want to hear some soft rock.

Van Morrison Moondance box set. Another Elliot mixing delight. Not a favorite album of mine and havent got to all the bonus tracks yet. I think I have to be in the right mood for this one.

Then there is the Branko sacd and a few others Fredblue reccomended... Just got the Dylan Slow train sacd but havent listened to it yet.

I hated it so much first time round, I gave it away.. just saw the DVD-A again for a tenner new, so.. oops I bought it again!

I think this is truly a great album. The mastering is of course horrendous and the 5.1 mixes pretty tame. No weak tracks. Give it a listen, if you can stand the sonics. Real shame about this one. Pointless compression to the point it sounds like radio; searching for a station.

Thanks for your solution. Unfortunately the Denon CD player can play HDCDs not SACDs so I am SOL. Looks like I'm in the market for an inexpensive SACD player. I'm thinking of looking for a used Oppo DVD player.

Yes The DVD-A with new 5.1 remix by Jakko Jakszyk is only available in the Super Deluxe Box Set, this 3-disc set has a Stereo-only DVD-A.
