What's the latest Multichannel SACD or DVD-A added to your pile? - Vol 1 (CLOSED)

Interesting.... A flipper with DVD-A on both sides.... never seen that before.... so its stereo on one side and 5.1 on the other....

I thought the main reason (in the early days) they did DVD-A flippers was so they didn't have to author a hybrid DVD-A/V, but this is a different (but still "in spec" approach)....

Yes, that's what I wondered also. I thought it is a typo on the labels. So i checked the files on both sides and found the typical DVD-Audio stuff on both. I don't think i have something special.... perhaps some other qq-member has some background info.

Yes, no problem to get sealed copies at a low price in Germany from Amazon.de Marketplace. It took two weeks until all of them arrive since I always took the cheapest seller. It was a no-brainer while I missed Nick Cave even on CD so far... Don't know why. He hits my taste.

Luther Vandross - Dance with my father

The Bon Jovi was a real pleasant surprise. I'm not a big traditional Bon Jovi fan but I like this album big time. Great surround sound to boot.
Winelight - Unbelievably well produced. Really excellent sound. Unbelievable surround effects. instruments spread around all the speakers.
Krall - Very well done.. very good surround sound.
Luther Vandross - I pick it up tomorrow.

Celine Dion "All The Way...A Decade of Song" SACD (new & sealed) Im scared to open it and find out it is stereo only. It seems that all the ones that are multi channel that came in the cardboard slipcase only say stereo on the cover but the disc says and plays multi channel. Then again the stereo only also came with the same slipcase.

1. Isn't a SHM-CD
2. Is a Hybrid SACD with MC & Stereo...

I checked the 4 of these that I have. The one sealed one has a SACD Surround Sound sticker on the front and a strange catalog number of BK 63760 as if it's a CD. There's a different UPC attached to the shrinkwrap over the UPC that's printed on the tray liner. The other 3 have a catalog number of BS 63760, with 2 of them being multi-channel. SUDL (multichannel) vs SUSS (stereo) in the dead wax.
