Well I'm not sure when this happened but my Windows 11 computer no longer displayed under the 'Network' location: -

And although the 'Synology_NAS' is displayed, it's very slow at being identified on my 'Private' network even with 'Discovery' switched 'On'. By contrast my old Windows 10 laptop displays both very quickly...

Does anybody know the obvious things to investigate this issue?
I had the same issue after a Windows 10 update, I thought it was to do with SMB, but it wasn't, I had to get a friend who runs an IT company to help.

Its to do with Windows Security & Network Credentials (apparently MS say they don't know what is safe on a network so they wipe out old settings! ), I had to re-enter my Admin passwords for the NAS in Windows, then it worked.

Thanks for the info... Sounds too difficult for me to sort out without creating more problems!
I just had to redo it for one of my NAS not the others, weird!

Open File Explorer and click on the Network icon, then when it appears click on the computer icon of your NAS, it should then come up with a Windows Security/Credentials pop-up for the NAS enter your NAS password there (might have to enter the Admin name as well, depends)

Thinking about it some more... This doesn't explain why my laptop isn't visible under the 'Network' icon. It's very confusing!
