I don't see the AWB disc, but I do see the War disc (almost an anagram!)?

To repeat what I just posted in another thread, for those in the UK, the All Your Music store on ebay currently has 25% off, with code QUIP3ECGACC, if you buy at least 2 items:

They currently have 9 of the Quadio discs in this offer, with free postage to the UK:

I just ordered the War and Gil Evans discs from them, at £18.20 each after the discount :)

And look at the team behind the recording production:

Producer – Lenny Waronker, Russ Titelman
Catching up on some unfinished periodical reading today that included a really great interview with Titelman from the Aug/Sep 2024 issue of Tape Op. He doesn't talk quad, specifically, but does discuss a couple of albums he worked on (by Randy Newman and James Taylor, IIRC) that had quad releases. Lots of wonderful name-dropping. He's got a great memory!

Thx, I read that.
Yes of course he was from the 70's golden age at Warner (Doobies, Little Feat, Beefheart), and by the 90's and even 2000's he was still at the game - it's amazing to me how he had such longevity there as WB staff and eventual independent producer. He may have even outlasted the WB god of record production Ted Templeman. These guys delivered such beautiful records. Warner/Reprise were known as an "artist's" label. Lenny Waronker, Ted Templeman, and Russ Titelman were all on the scene there at the same time racking up a dozen (or many more) quad reels (for eventual Quadio! release).
Rickie Lee Jones debut for me is a definitive effort of the Warner team's string of home runs.
But anyway, rambling on, it was quite a "team" with these guys sharing the gold and platinum.
