  • For singer/songwriter I am guessing Joni Mitchell or Randy Newman. These are my two biggest wants amongst the Warner quads so I will be very happy if either materializes. (Although, if the reasoning for not doing Deep Purple applies here, perhaps we won't get Joni because of the very recent release of last year's Newport performance as well as the upcoming Archive box).
  • For R&B, I would guess Roberta Flack, Spinners or Aretha Franklin.
  • I'll take a shot in the dark on the jazz title and guess Duke Ellington's New Orleans Suite.
  • And for soft rock I am guessing Bread or Seals & Crofts.
For Singer/songwriter, I'd like to see Gordon Lightfoot in there.

Well, the US Quad MH is a digital MiA mix, Stormbringer can be improved a lot from the botched DTS release by just leaving the quad mix as it is, Burn was a scheduled release that never came, Made in Japan has a 5.1 mix done by SW that is sitting on a shelf, that leaves out In Rock, Fireball, Who do we thing we are and Come Taste the band with a unknown status of mch mixes. A boxset of the whole MKI-IV with mch mix for each would be a BIG seller.
My favourite Purple album is Fireball, so we'll have to see what Purple release later!

For singer songwriter I'd be happy with James Taylor,
R&B please, please be Average White Band! (who'll pick up the pieces if its not :p),
Jazz I'd like Ellington (I've inherited my later father's love of his music)
and soft rock I'd like something that hasn't been put out before.

the Jazz title could be either one of Duke Ellington, Gil Evans, Charlie Mingus, or The Modern Jazz Quartet..

R&B maybe either Donny Hathaway, Roberta Flack, Spinners, Average White Band, Graham Central Station, Aretha Franklin, or Dionne Warwick..

Singer/Songwriter has many possibilities, could be David Gates, Carly Simon, Randy Newman, Gordon Lightfoot, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins, Arlo Guthrie, or Mickey Newbury..

Soft Rock may be The New Seekers, sEagle, Sergio Mendes, Seals & Crofts, America, Bread, Souther-Hillman-Furay Band..

edit: i'm guessing this batch won't have any more Alice Cooper or Jefferson Starship Quads, or WEA artists that don't fit into any of those categories, such as the James Gang, Bill Wyman, Deaf School, Stardrive Ft. Robert Mason, Herbie Mann, or Bette Midler!? 🤔

edit: wonder if there's any unreleased Quads lined up by Rhino for Quadio, maybe some Billy Cobham 🤞🤩
There are SO many exciting possibilities

As it seems Deep Purple and ZZ Top are not happening, it's only The Eagles and Jackson Browne I would consider to buy.
I am open to some other genres but they have to have some songs that I know and like. I will consider buying a lot of things but I won't buy things that I know I will never listen to. I suppose if I knew some of the titles were limited editions (with no plans to re-release if they sold out), I might pick them up just because I know I could resell them for a profit later (although I have never sold anything once I buy it).

Randy Newman - Good Old Boys / Jackson Browne - Late for the Sky are the titles I would be interested in.
Joni Mitchell albums in Dolby Atmos streaming on Apple Music are fantastic otherwise I would be interested in the Quadio Joni Mitchell albums.

I'm trying to keep my expectation under control. While I'd really like Eagles and Jackson, and Joni god yeah, I'm not even going there in my head right now. Maybe I'll have my mind completely blown in total surprise and one of these will arrive in this next batch, but likely not.

Herbie Mann is considered a jazz artist. He could be chosen for a Quadio jazz title.

that's a great philosophy, i'm keeping an open mind too for sure 🙂 what i will say is, hoping what's available to Rhino is all the WEA Quads formerly on Quad LP and tape that i know pretty well, there are some great albums and excellent Surround mixes that could potentially be in this upcoming next set of releases. i wonder if they'll do another bundle deal of 4 Quadio's at a discount? 🤔 hope so as that might tip me over the edge into getting all 4! 🥳🤣

Of the potential quads available...could you mention the one's that have excellent surround sound/audio quality....the one's that stand out

it feels like it's a good idea to keep expectations in check like this with all reissue labels as well (such as Dutton Vocalion etc.) since i'll bet Foraging Rhino is doing everything he can to get Eagles & Jackson Browne out on Quadio 🤞🥳

gladly, Mister E.! 😋🤗

my personal favourites from a Surround Sound perspective are;

Gil Evans "Svengali",
Herbie Mann "Reggae",
Charles Mingus "Mingus Moves",
Donny Hathaway "Extension Of A Man",
Spinners (any of their 3 Quads are excellent sound quality and Surround mixes but the S/T is my favourite, one of the all-time Classic Quads with a killer mix by Thom Bell himself),
Average White Band "AWB",
Graham Central Station "Ain't No Bout-A-Doubt It",
David Gates "First",
Gordon Lightfoot "Sundown",
James Taylor "Gorilla",
Sergio Mendes S/T (seriously overlooked imho),
America "Holiday",
Deaf School "2nd Honeymoon",
Bette Midler "Divine Miss M.",
Stardrive featuring Robert Mason "Intergalactic Trot".
