On a different topic, other than shipping, I have read previous threads about this list that existed about a number of warner releases, that back in the day, or supposed to be released in quad. I am assuming that all four of these or on that list? If that is the case, if their sales are going as well as expected, or better, hopefully we can look for many more on that list to be sent in future Quadio bundles!?

That happened to me until I deactivated the ad/pop-up blocker in my internet browser. Then I could order with no problem (but haven't received my discs).

That did it. Thanks! I would have never thought that would stop anything. Hope I haven't missed the boat on the Sabbath disc by now.

Sorry Clint, I don't subscribe to that narrative.

Customers are 'entitled' to customer service. For all the points you raise about physical media, dwindling sales, etc - that's all the more reason to provide premium customer service, since we are purchasing a premium product. CDs are $9.99 to $11.99 - how many people buy 4 CDs at once? These Quadaudio BluRays were $24.98 each. Rhino teased the release here and set our anticipation levels high to build demand and thus, sales. We had to wait over a month to find out what they were actually offering.

We live in an 'instant-on' society now, where TV Series are released in their entirety so they can be binge-watched on our schedule. Amazon has set the speed of business as 'everything in stock with two-day delivery', free shipping for Prime members. Waiting for anything these days is anathema.

The end-user customer experience starts with the packaging. Steve Jobs knew this and spent a ton of resources on cool, smart and efficient packaging. Granted, that's for high-ticket electronics but even their $19.99 accessories are packaged smartly and with great care.

In the 21st Century, great strides have been made in fulfillment services, automated electronic notifications (at every step of the shopping experience), packaging and delivery.

To pay a premium for premium content, we are happy (or willing) to do - but shouldn't the packaging denote the same premium experience as the content? What would it cost Rhino and their fulfillment house to double-box the 3 or 4 pack BluRays, or at the very least, wrap them in Kraft paper or bubble-wrap first.

It's like - first, they tease us and make us guess what the releases are. QQ racked up what, over two thousand comments on this thread before the release? Then we get doled out pixelated JPEGS and the guessing game goes up a notch. So anticipation is high, demand is pent up, the Quaddios are released and many of us jump right in and buy them - I would venture that most of us bought the entire set of 4.

Excitement builds along with the anticipation, while we wait for a shipment notice/acknowledgement that a good number of us never got.
Then the discs start showing up, and the excitement is at a fever pitch as we open them in order to finally experience and listen to them only to have that excitement and enthusiasm dampened by cracked and broken jewel cases. In 2023!!

It is easier and ultimately cheaper to provide better packaging
to ensure the goods arrive in premium, pristine condition, whereby the only comments would be how great they sounded, how much we like the mixes, etc - instead of the first impression to be that someone made the decision to put customer satisfaction second to a desire to keep costs down to maximize profit.

Except, it costs more money to smooth over upset customers and replace damaged cases, than to just provide the proper packaging in the first place.
We deserve better in this 21st Century music situation.
Let me just address a few things in your post...I will highlight them for you...I see you joined in 2022...maybe that explains some of your responses....how many people would buy 4 CDs at once...just about everybody on this forum...we have bought bloated box sets for years with about every useless accessory you could imagine just to get one disc...waiting over a month for the product...that is light speed in the surround world...some of us waited 2 years for a product that was listed on Acoustic Sounds before it was finally available...waiting for anything these days is anathema..nobody likes to wait for anything...you are right...but in this case....in this niche hobby it wasn't a long wait....enthusiasm dampened by cracked and broken jewel cases in 2023...you will be hearing the same thing in 2025...if the physical media survives that much longer...and since you are so enamored with amazon....I have received damaged orders from them...mostly due to automation...but it still happens...in fact some of us probably remember getting some expensive box sets from amazon that were damaged....It is easier and ultimately cheaper to provide better packaging...this point has merit...however in this specific release I can only comment on my purchase...I have received one disc and it was in pristine condition...I haven't received the other 3 yet...only then could I render a comment....however you have to look at the big picture...in a lot of cases the damage isn't as widespread as it appears...sometimes the minority of customers are more vocal as the silent majority don't feel it necessary to comment on the topic....

Let me just make one more observation...you use the word premium to describe the cost of these 4 discs...in this hobby I have paid considerably more on the secondary market for older surround discs that were USED...many others on here have done the same....I don't think the standard business model is relevant with this niche market...maybe you have heard of Oppo blu ray players...they were very popular with the surround community...when they closed their doors the secondary market for them exploded...used players sold for many times their original price when new...these discs...especially Paranoid will be worth several times it's original Rhino price point in the near future

`Ordered mine the afternoon of June 23 and received the BS disc on July 3. The other three discs arrived today, all in perfect condition. I did not get an email shipping notice, and don't really care. Considering the order was placed right before a weekend and included a major holiday, that is a decent shipment time.

I just wanted to extend my thanks and deep appreciation to Foraging Rhino (and all else involved at the company) for making these Blu-ray Quads a reality.

Hope to see a couple of Hot Tuna quads in future, America's Choice and Yellow Fever in particular. Again, many thanks for bringing these great old quads to light once again, and all at an unbeatable price!

Mine are out for delivery today. Talk about "Hello, Hooray!!" Whatever UPS MAIL INNOVATIONS is, they do a poor job providing tracking updates. It seems like the updates were a bit inconsistent. I don't see what's so innovative about ups mail innovations

I sent an inquiry thru Rhino's contact form about my order status and only received a generic, bullshit response. I am getting extremely concerned about my 2 missing discs (Alice Cooper and Jefferson Starship). Really ticks me off about the whole situation. Some folks have got all 4 while a lot of us have only received the Sabbath and J. Giles discs, with absolutely no updates whatsoever. The radio-silence is deafening.

WTF is going on over at Rhino?!?!?!?! Get your shit together!!!!
Same here. Received J Giles, tracking for Sabbath, nothing on Alice and Starship

many webpages now will block out their entire content till you turn your ad blocker off, so if a page doesn't ever load, turn your ad blocker off and it will appear.

I really hope when my order comes its complete. I ordered early in the morning on the 23rd, and I'm worried because someone here said they only got two of what they ordered and a refund.

You would have to direct us to the post you're talking about. As far as I recall, no one had an order canceled and a refund issued. I "think" some may have complained about placing 1 order, and yet they received the full bundle between 2 shipments. As a result, they had to pay additional VAT fees, or something to that effect. The additional fee is likely what was refunded.

Again, that's what my memory is telling me. Oh, and welcome to QQ.

Yes, Foraging Rhino, I remember the days of "allow 6-8 weeks for delivery". Well, I received my bundle in just under two weeks. I am very pleased with the transaction. I didn't get in on the discounts and don't mind because I want to invest in the Rhino quadio program. Please don't be discouraged by all the negative shipping posts. Actually it would be nice if those posts had their own thread for those of us who just want to read about the quadio's.

So glad I got all the quadio's but especially Sabbath's Paranoid after Rhino announced their Sabbath vinyl box set yesterday but they are going to be picture disc's. I hate picture disc vinyl, Rhino missed a golden opportunity there!

Did you get a shipping notice with Tracking numbers from Rhino? I thought everything was coming with the two shipments, but only received half of the order. Black Sabbath and J. Geils. When I rechecked the emails, that’s exactly how they were shipped. So, I’m waiting for the other two titles to come.

Ironically, last night I received a shipping refund of $13.10, even though I wasn’t charged extra, and I live in the States. I sent an email on Saturday letting Rhino know that I didn’t receive the full order. But only received a generic reply. Obviously, they’re overwhelmed with orders they didn’t anticipate. And this should prove once and for all, how popular the Quadio program is.

No one can say now “There’s no market for Surround or physical media.” Hopefully, it’s just a matter of that we unexpectedly blew everything up with all our orders. And we can clean out Warner’s vaults of Quad titles, because we showed them interest in quality music. So, I can wait for the rest of the order. Just let us know the score when the dust settles.
