4 New Quadio releases coming in June!

Ummm, like YEAH!!! We've all been so vocal about what we think should be next. It's going to be more really good ones we can rest assured.

But honestly, I'm still not ready to stop rocking darn it! So I hope we get two more solid rockers, a hit pop title, and a odd sleeper to round it all out once again.

Agree. That was a good mix of titles and a great way to prompt people to buy all four (along with the bundle price cut). I really wasn't that interested in the JS or JGB albums, but they were priced decently enough where I could justify buying them all.

I am fine with waiting for the announcement of the actual titles. The dust hasn't settled from the first batch yet. I do hope there were lessons learned and that the next batch goes much smoother.

I just listened to the J. Geils Band again last night. It sounded even better than the first play. It was a nice change of mood, energetic and fun.

But by the time the discs are all checked, pressed, and shrink wrapped and ready to go, the dust will have settled (on the current bundle), I think so anyway.

I was out on vacation when the Quadio releases were first offered. Only to arrive home to a sold out Sabbath. Oh well, just wait for more to be pressed.

Ordered the BS and Jefferson discs last Thursday and less than a week later they are delivered to my door. Followed their progress with a Rhino supplied tracking number that was provided moments after purchase.

Must have made some procedural changes since the pre-order.

I’m in the same boat. I ordered at the same time and still waiting for the same two titles. After writing them, I received a form letter that said my order was a “preorder” and that it would be released on 8-3-23.

I wrote back and mentioned that this is the release date for the UK. I’m in the USA, California. I didn’t hear back. But the last letter said tracking numbers would come when it ships.

So, evidently those of us who ordered when the Rhino website briefly said the titles were preorders, got mixed up with the UK release date. I received a refund of $13.10 for shipping.

This is getting more "interesting" all the time. I still haven't received the 2nd item in my order (JS) although my 6/23 order status is still listed as "In Progress" and after receiving a ticket # from WMG a few days ago (and sending an email asking for an update mins ago), I received this...

Hmm...that's not very helpful. It appears I'm making little to no headway here, as is the case with some others still. Availability for the Jefferson Starship disc is listed as "In Stock" so that's encouraging at least. I agree that it appears we're sometimes getting automated responses. It's said that misery loves company, but I'm not feelin' the consolation right now.

Agreed. Like many here, I was quick on the draw ordering my 2 desired discs...that might be part of the problem unfortunately (shouldn't be but does appear to be the case.)

Just buy all four from the US site as a bundle. I did this (UK resident) and was expecting to pay import tax but so far nothing and I received my discs a week ago. If there's import tax to pay then the delivery outfit usually hold your item ransom until the bill is paid. I've never had a situation where the item is delivered and then a demand for pay tax is issued and I've imported plenty of stuff from abroad over the years.

Pretty sure all the other UK based people posting on here report the same experience with importing these Quadios - and I'm hoping the tax man remains empty handed.......

They are worth the wait. Because they seemingly didn’t mess with the recording, they sound like they’re coming right off the reel. And the Quad mixes are inspired, as opposed to paint by number mixes. If given a chance, these recordings are finally getting their opportunity to be heard and appreciated as intended from the beginning.

In the Quad era, they were inventing surround sound for the home. You can hear the best of creativity and technical expertise come together. If you’re going to mix in surround, listen, and study the Quad era.

Same here. Last week, I finally broke down and ordered B$B...just in case. It came today.

Odd. I'm HAPPY , but it's really odd seeing that I've now waited longer than I had to for my two Dutton Vocalion discs.
