When there are different resolutions provided on the disc, what do you mean by native resolution? Just leave it up to the system to decide. Why would you do that? Better to make sure you select the highest resolution you can play.

For most, it probably doesn't matter what resolution is being played. When your system sounds better with 192kHz, you'll want to play the highest resolution provided on the disc.

Because a system capable of decoding 24/192 DTS-HD MA will simply play that, unprompted, when that is the only selectable resolution on the disc. You can't even tell such a system to play only up to 24/96, or 24/48, or just the lossy DTS core. It will automatically decode the native 24/192 on playback. That's the way the codec works. The only way to peel back layers of the onion manually is with a software decoder, as you have done. That's not necessary to get the native/highest resolution, and I'm not sure why you think it would be.

Today my Paranoid is still nowhere to be seen. It has now been one month officially since ordering. This is starting to get a little unacceptable now.

I don't know exactly what is going on at the "International Carrier" when the parcels arrive up here, but it seems to be a bit of a black hole. It shouldn't have taken two weeks + for today's disc to get to me in Toronto once it arrived in Canada.

To be honest, I have no idea what native resolution is, other than the resolution of the recording, which may or may not be on the disc.

I ordered late last Wednesday, it ‘shipped’ on Thursday and will hopefully arrive at my USA shipping location (1 minute south of the border ) .

Despite multiple attempts at contacting cust svc all I have received for explanations is automated generic bot email replies.
Still no explanation or the reason for the delay nor any expectation for shipping.

This is an EPIC FAIL.
Sad to say I will have to think long and hard on any future purchase.

It's a shame this company has done such a poor job of order follow-up & shipping.

I've ordered 8 times from SDE in UK - Royal Mail across the Atlantic to NYC, customs, transferred to USPS and all of them arrived in about a week to 10 days. My most recent SDE preorder is the Blur Atmos BD; SDE shipped by Royal Mail on Wed 7-19 and USPS is delivering to me in metro Atlanta today, Tues 7-25.

Every D-V order I've placed arrives from UK to me in about the same time, with tracking from Royal Mail/USPS. The 2 times I ordered from CDJapan, the same kind of experience. Same with Amazon UK. Fast, reliable shipping, tracking & delivery.

Some of us ordered right when the orders went live, but because the website said preorder (before it got fixed), their system thinks we’re UK orders (or something to that effect). I got an email that said the rest of the order will ship on 8-3-23, with tracking numbers. This is the same date as the UK release date.

Only B$B and JS can be ordered in the UK from the UK store “Dig!” But you can order the bundle from the UK from the USA Rhino store.

I ordered the Black Sabbath disc on July 18 and received it yesterday (25th). It shipped from California to me here in Massachusetts.

I see that all four releases of these quadios are now showing up on Amazon (US) for $24.98 each...with a release date of September 8.

So...has anyone compared the fidelity of the 2009 "STS" UK DVD-V and the 2023 Quadio of quad mix of Paranoid (AFAIK, the 2009 quad mix was taken from a CD-4 disc)?
