For some reason, every time I see the red hype sticker on any of these new Quadios I have visions of insider advance copies, scalping & flipper. But that's probably just me.

I got both of my shipments. Nice to see them in SACD Jewel boxes, even though they are Blu-ray.

I like super jewels too myself. It's just something special. DV and AF have always had to keep their costs down lower due to having to license (fees) from other labels, and so stuck with standard jewels. And in AF's case, spent their design costs on the slip-covers.

But super-jewels are elegant and classy and identify the product as something a bit special. And darn right they look special and are special.

Agreed. Admittedly I take all my multi-channel discs out of cases and put them in DiscSox for easier storage and access, but it does add an extra touch of class when you get discs in those cases. A relatively small thing, but appreciated.

Could some of these new folks showing up be due to Rhino choosing some fairly high profile titles for the series, and at price point we all can live with in a rough economy?

I did an Amazon search but could not find any listing for the four disc bundle. But Amazon is strange because when I searched for 'Red Octopus Quadio' it gave me 35 items...most of them plush red octopii plus a few other strange things...before actually showing what I was looking for.

When I ordered my set, they showed still in stock or atleast Rhino was accepting orders.
I would be thrilled to get any kind of correspondence from them As my Sony SACD is arriving Monday from the tracking number

I recieved an email that all 4 of mine have shipped. Now ofcourse the tracking numbers aren't in the USPS system yet, but its a start.
New speaker wire arrived yesterday, along with a new Shure stylus, new CD player will be here Monday.
Looks like I'll be back in the quad game after 40yrs, sometime next week......Woo Hoooooooooo!!!!

Agree with your first point.
As for shipping, you get what you pay for. I'd say they should offer a couple options on shipping at three price points. I am assuming that they went with the most economical choice, which is never the fastest, most reliable choice.

Oh no, too much to go wrong with diff shipping options. They had issues with it as it is.

Well, Canada people are getting all of their discs, and I think yours are coming in the the next day or so. Someone from Canada just got all of their discs who ordered June 23. Even if tracking was just generated, you still could get them very soon.

Anyway, welcome to the forum, see you are also brand new!!! I hope you get to contribute more, and not just vent.

I live just 15 minutes north of the USA border near Vancouver BC.

I have a 5.2.4 Atmos system that includes 4 identical quadraphonic SuperTowers.

Audio nirvana has been reached and I don’t think I will change my current setup . Most days of the week I loose track of time in my media room and it ends up being 1 , 2 or 3 am when I go to sleep . My wife will just shake her head as I come to sleep as she is getting up lol
