Oh my God, Im about to order an album/Cd named Booger Bear. Please don't tell anyone.....

The City of Angel's Jefe 1 laid bare on the WORLD WIDE NET that he ordered an album/SACD named BOOGER BEAR and expects that 'revelation' to REMAIN ANONYMOUS. HA!

I got a chuckle today, when I did a "quad 8" search on ebay and these were the first titles listed:

- Santana & Buddy Miles
- Booger Bear
- Share the Land
- Canned Wheat
- Wheatfield Soul
- Argent In Deep.

So, obviously, somebody's making room! 😁

Which bodes well for the future of D~V's 'QUAD SACD Project....' Seems the word is OUT that D~V is and remains serious about cleaning out those musty QUAD master tape vaults and in time might further make a dent by appealing to Warner/Rhino and UMG's reluctance and tackle their labels as well.

How SWEET it IS!🌹

Oooh.... There's more stuff coming soon by the looks of things from the DV email?! 🤩

.....Remember to stay tuned because another tranche of goodies is due to be released imminently … it includes several classic soul albums of the ’70s, the quadraphonic mixes of which are making their first ever appearance in the SACD format. And as if that were not enough, further titles in the Dutton Epoch series (both new recordings and archive reissues) are scheduled for early next year, all of them in the Hybrid SACD stereo/multi-channel format.

I'm glad you pointed out that tidbit from the email about these new releases, I was going to do the same. That comment is the ONLY thing keeping me from pulling the trigger on the already announced releases right now.

little would bring me greater pleasure than for all those trusty old Quad records and tapes to be given the opportunity to languish in a most well-deserved retirement behind glass, after some enterprising label has liberated all their parent mastertapes from the vaults and issued them on Surround SACD.. against all odds, it seems to be happening before our very eyes..

If there is another big batch of releases the reindeer are going to go onstrike and Mr Dutton will have to carry the huge sack by himself.
Can Santa get a hernia?

..and to think Ralphie says i'm the nutty one for squirreling away those discs for a rainy day! in the words of King Louis Prima; "après DV, le déluge.." 😂

You're ever so sexy when you speak French, Adam! Maybe I should start a museum for my 1000's of Laserdiscs, VHS/BETA/DAT/Hi8 and cassette tapes....and risqué assortment of designer squirrel undergarments!

Could sure use a swig of Amaretto right about now!

Are there any more Guess Who albums that were quadrified in their day that could still come out? Hoping for Live at The Paramount but someone said the original tapes had been lost.
Artificial Paradise, Flavours, Power In The Music all have Quad versions. So Long Bannatyne, and Live at the Paramount do not. Who knows maybe Quad masters were done but not released that would be a real treat if they turned up.
