Found this unopened action figure in a resale shop this weekend! Finding it put me In The Zone!

Going with another director for my latest foray into Action Figures & Other Memorabilia (Multichannel Artists only):

I took this picture a little over a week ago. As a kid, Hitchcock was my favorite director. I was overjoyed when i heard two of the films in the 4K collection had multichannel mixes: Vertigo, the film that topped the 2012 Sight & Sound Top 100 Greatest Films of All Time critics poll, and the film that started it all for me:

Psycho! I must have been about 9 when i first saw Psycho on late-night television–i took a sponge bath in the hallway for the next month! The point of all of this rambling is that when i took the first picture in this post, i realized that Universal had never sent me my replacement discs back in November of 2020 when i wrote them (the mono mix on the discs was a downmix of the DTS:X mix, and not the original mono track); i guess with Covid, it just slipped my mind . . . and i was watching the film in surround! Any hoo, i wrote them back and the replacement discs arrived today! I'm going to watch it again! The biggest disappointment for me about the 4K set is that all four films did not come with surround mixes. I can only imagine how cool The Birds would sound!

How's that for an action figure! Stay Surrounded, Comrades!

Thanks, yes, I've got the 2012 Met set (great cast and amazing staging), and of course the ENO cycle from the 1970's (that I attended) on SQ LPs! -
