Glad you're 'back in the saddle' Clint as I was going to send out a posse to hunt you down since we haven't heard from you in awhile. Yes, Soundboy also posted this HK comp disc on another thread and I'm certainly looking forward to it since it contains a number of choice Motown hits.

Not back completely yet...but I'm working on it...I hate when the reality of life interferes with my hobby:)..I should have know that Soundboy had that one covered...he knows the Hong Kong market very well....

Yes, Clint, it is unfortunate when "life" gets in the way. I had a similar grueling work week since my main gal went on vacation with her family but it DOES pay the bills. Just received the BD~A of Roger Shah's Music for Meditation, Yoga and other Wellbeing Moments (5.1/Auro 3D) so I'll give that a spin tonight. Actually could use some meditative muzak to calm my nerves after this taxing work week. Also received the Unmastered SACD of Patricia Barber's Café Blue from Premonition Records. Audiophile all the way and well worth seeking out. I thought is was a MoFi disc but it's not. Comes in a Super Audio CD case and was unmastered by none other than Gus Skinas.

I've got Café Blue on order with 2 other titles....Head to the Sky and Leon Russell...even after I paid $3.67 tax... the total for those 3 was only $64.83...only $21.63 each from DeepDiscount....some places are out of the Barber disc so sales must be good...

I lucked out on the Café Blue disc: Amazon had it on pre~order for $18.37 + NYS Tax (under $20 delivered). Now they're charging $30. DD should be shipping Head To The Sky hopefully this week. I have the Leon Russell (complete w/bonus tracks) on DVD~A stereo from the original analogue masters. GREAT album, BTW....superbly recorded.

BTW, Clint, I highly recommend this disc (from members of Mannheim Steamroller). MUCH better than Fresh Aire 8 and SUPERBLY/DISCRETELY recorded. From $9.99 new plus s/h from AmazonUS http://www.amazon.com/SURROUNDED-Ch...&keywords=Checkfield+DVD~Audio&tag=acleint-20

Disregard the second Amazon review. The first review is RIGHT ON!

For all you fans of Santana digging Santana IV like I am, this is NOT the first time this group has reunited. They reunited in '97 sans Carlos as Abraxas Pool. There was a CD released on BMG/Miramar Productions 09006-23082-2. It features Rolie, Shrieve, Carabello and Schon with Jose "Chepito" Areas & Alphonso Johnson. YOU NEED IT!!

What's wrong with "Chepito"-is he ill????
(David Brown died in 2000)

Chepito is on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Jose-Chepito-Areas-168703133176457/info/?tab=page_info He was arrested for an alleged child molestation in '96 and is listed in the San Francisco sex offender registry: http://www.americansexoffenders.com/SexOffenders/California/SexOffender.aspx?oid=169964

Don't blame the messenger.

Also, Thomas "Coke" Escovedo was in Santana's Band in '71. He passed several years ago. He co-founded Azteca with his brother Pete, Sheila E.'s Dad. RIP

Whoa! Chepito is in big trouble....what a pendejo!

Yeah, I knew about "Coke" Escovedo's passing...

thanks Mamita Linda!!!

A new Audio Fidelity listing has appeared on amazon, this time for the self-titled album by Rage Against the Machine:
http://www.amazon.com/Rage-Against-Machine/dp/B01EMP3V5Y/

Now AFAIK, no surround mix exists for this album, so I would expect this to be a Hybrid Stereo SACD, but who knows? Bigger surprises have happened I suppose...

This title appears to be under the control of Sony...not my style of music... but it could open the door for more from the Sony vault..

Ok..I just thought I would mention this...in the last few days I have been given a $5 discount promo code from both importcds and deepdiscount...it's happened before but never both of them in the span of a few days...of course they are owned by the same company...but the reason given both times is that I left a title or two in the shopping cart...then they gave me a personalized promo code...I've already used the importcds discount and now I will look for something on deepdiscount...I'm mentioning this because maybe if you try this you can get a $5 discount..so put something in the cart at these sites and leave the site...of course I'm constantly re-visiting these sites every day pricing items...but hey...you have nothing to lose by trying this...

Not to diminish RATM but I thought I'd post a disc from a band that took a lot of listen to before I got into them.

California based, boogie southern blues rock with a bayou type of music, but good fn christ do they ever move.

Their music really cries out for Surround with so verymuch happening in their discs.

LITTLE FEAT-FEETS DON'T FAIL ME NOW
-"The Fan" track is one of the best rock tunes from this album. It kicks bum with Lowell George on lead guitar and vocals.

If it ever came to pass as a 5.1 mix or upmix, well I'm all over it.!!:music

And those album covers so surreal via Neon Parks. He did most of Feat and of course Zappa's "Weasels Ripped My Flesh".

"Not to diminish RATM but I thought I'd post a disc from a band that took a lot of listen to before I got into"..... I doubt if they were ever particularly popular or even known in the UK< but they've always enjoyed a hard core following here, with a string of excellent albums.

I've been purchasing Gold Discs lately and I've been very happy with them...I love this disc...sounds excellent and a great songlist...Hoffman did a nice job on this one...it's not easy to find and it isn't cheap...I paid $59 for a used one in excellent condition and it was worth it..
