Mylene Farmer and Led Zep I guess., here a link with search blu ray audio, http://recherche.fnac.com/Search/SearchResult.aspx?Search=Blu+ray+audio&sft=1&sl=3.0&ItemPerPage=20

The Zep's a Warner release in a little blue SACD jewel case thingy.. doesn't seem like it'd be treated as part of this "High Fidelity Pure Audio" kershizzle..?

The Mylene Farmer's already out as a CD + BDA set, of which there's another couple, Zazie "Cyclo" and Carla Bruni "Little French Songs" both also out now as CD + BDA sets in France.

just on a tangent, I've noticed there's between 10-15 guests constantly browsing this thread on here (I check periodically and it seldom dips below about 6 guests at any one time).. so it gets me wondering.. do we have music industry lurkers looking for feedback here before these things come out? Universal Music employees checking the chat out to see what people expect/their reaction to the titles up for pre-order? how common is it for a QQ thread to have this number of non-members viewing all the time? I'm intrigued...

I can't recall the website ( it may have been c.net ? ) I definitely read 3 titles to be released by November. ( I guess it's the titles, Robert suggests ? )

I think it may have been the 3 CD + BDA sets already released in France by Universal.

1.) Mylene Farmer - Monkey Me,
2.) Zazie - Cyclo,
3.) Carla Bruni - Little French Songs.

If you look at Universal's website, about the 50 titles, there's a You Tube link, which shows various clips, one being Stevie Wonder, but it's not a song from SITKOL. ( Will we have a few SW titles, like the SHM-SACD's....I would have thought so ? )

I've a hunch they used the video of SW doing "what the fuss" (or whatever that was!?) because they didn't have (or own the rights to) any footage of SW from the SITKOL era...??

If Universal were to release all 5 of the classic Stevie Wonder albums that saw SHM-SACD release in Japan (Talking Book, Innervisions, Fulfillingness' First Finale, Songs In The Key Of Life and Hotter Than July) with the same mastering as those SACDs and keep the pricing at this sub-£20 price point, I would buy them all.

While they're at it maybe they could get some decent remastering done for "Music Of My Mind" and "Where I'm Coming From" and release them on blu-ray audio too.

If Universal were to release all the classic 70's Stevie Wonder albums that saw SHM-SACD release in Japan, with the same mastering as those SACDs and keep the pricing at this sub-£20 price point, I would buy them all.

I thought that might be the case, Adam ? I don't recognise the song. I have the 5 SHM-SACD's and would very likely buy them all again.

The last time I suggested that a few years ago and got my balls busted and good! How do you know WHO is looking? Lurking, gathering info. QQ is the premier site for multi-channel music.

:yikes

really..?!? I feel this is a legitimate question, or at least something worth thinking about!?

ah well, I need my balls so I'd rather not get them busted!

the conclusion I am drawing is that our reaction to this new BDA initiative is being watched...

makes me think of Richard Burton in his intro to Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds album..

"No-one would have believed, in the last years of the nineteenth century, that human affairs were being watched from the timeless worlds of space. No-one could have dreamed that we were being scrutinized, as someone with a microscope studies creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. Few men even considered the possibility of life on other planets. And yet, across the gulf of space, minds immeasurably superior to ours regarded this earth with envious eyes; and slowly, and surely, they drew their plans against us."

I sure hope you are right!! If so- give us BD music! We will buy it-promote it-evaluate it and enjoy every single production, we also need different, new-old stuff! Don't rehash what is already been done!! Don't want to buy Dark side of the Moon again.

This is why it's SO crucial to there being any hope of a future for us to have a physical format for Hi-Rez Surround music to keep the discussion, suggestions, etc flowing and to keep it very visible and vibrant..!

Nobody ever got anywhere by keeping their light under a bushel..!

- "I didn't want to blow my own trumpet!"
- "Well, you could at least have let us know you had a trumpet..!!"

With only two weeks to go....I think Universal are keeping their info under a bushel !! ( If this is going to be the next big thing, i'm surprised there's no info on major sellers like Amazon ?? )

Precisely, and then people and companies wonder why these attempts (sacd and dvd-audio included) don't pan out.
