I'd apply for "Dragon's Den" but I've got no fancy shmancy ideas to bring to the table.. plus it'd be all too hilarious when they all declared "I'm Out!".. I'd reply "Honey, what took you so long!? I did that years ago!"

haha! straws are all we've had to grasp ever since we got the first whiff of this blu-ray audio campaign!

talk about publicity-shy.. there's been next to nothing official or promotional about these new releases!

moreover, the two Universal dudes I wrote to didn't even have the decency to respond! even a "Piss off!" would have been better than nothing!! Vile rude pigs!

on the subject of pre-advice etc by these labels, I feel much the same way about this as I do so many things.. it drives me nuts not to have any info (or even notice to plan/budget/or even just look forward to) these releases..!!

hence my comments on the Music Valet stuff as well as this blu-ray campaign.. it would be good if we could do everything in our power to help these Hi-Res/surround campaigns be as successful as possible and hit the target audience (i.e. US..!!) with releases that will attract as much interest and sell as many copies as possible to ensure they don't get pulled before they've gathered a head of steam! isn't that just good business sense and a Win-Win for the labels and surround music lovers like us?!?

you can't be an enthusiast without learning a lot about the subject you're so interested in!!

of course it wouldn't be the first time "the fans" know more about, well just about anything, than the people who are hawking it..!!

(don't even get me started on the Elton back catalogue/rarities/unreleased stuff! its been handled better than some of my other favourite artists to be fair.. but there are still gaping holes.. I've probably got things in my collection Universal don't even have in their vaults! ..even if they did have them they'd still have no idea what to do with them and end up doing nothing with them at all..!!!).

Why would they list some titles as Blu Ray Audio & others as Blu Ray Audio ( DVD Audio ) ?? Just seems quite specific....but i know this is very likely a balls up !

The titles are pictured & there's a cartoon video, about vinyl, cd, mp3 & the new BD-A format....but what I did notice was a written article, by a Christian....that's name, not religion !! ( I'm hopeless at putting link info ! )
If you scroll down there's pics of players, and drawings of 5.1 / 7.1 setup's...and the French word that must indicate multichannel ! ??
Why would these be depicted, if they weren't applicable ??

I've just translated some of the article ( not me personally of course !! )

Blu Ray Audio, manages the different audio decoding program managing the PCM, DOLBY TRUE HAD and DTS-HD MA. This means that one can listen to the music in Hi-Fi classic on 2 pregnant ( not my words ! ) but also on a 5.1, 7.1 7.2 e.t.c.
A multichannel exclusively audio which should contribute to a better immersion and optimised spatialization in particular on concert recordings.

....it goes onto say that you will be able to download ( MSHUFFLE ) from the disc, in FLAC, WAV, mp3 to a dedicated....blah, blah, blah...
