Just ran through Nevermind. I A/B'ed it against the CD I have. It is night and day. Same volume played for both (-20db on my Onkyo) and the clarity and depth of the bass lines, drum beats and Kurt's scratchy vocals is so much better on the blu-ray. I didn't have to crank it like I do with SACDs. I like it a lot. I also have the HDTracks version which I plan to burn to a DVD-Audio and see how it compares. I'm happy. The visual is sparse. Just the tracklist and audio options (DolbyHD, DTS-HD, and PCM). I listened just to the PCM tracklist. When I have more time next week, I plan on trying the other two tracks. Next up though is a run through In Utero. I'm ready for my Sea Change Blu-ray to come in to compare it with the "DVD-Audio" I have.
