I was referring to the Sony label issue. Yes, Amazon UK has Razor & Tie imports from the USA.

If Sony has run out of copies I guess they'll eventually press more but it'll be a little more work than normal as they are supposed to remove the track "Unknown Ballad"

It's funny, this 1977 concert has come out twice on video, but IMO never with the optimal combination of video + audio quality (i.e., one version has better audio and worse video than the other) . Shout Factory would do well to find the best source and produce a 'definitive' version. I'll still be interested to hear this audio-only version.

I'm with you dude. I have two copies of "ELP" & Tarkus. They may be the best overall 5.1 package when you consider the magnificiant packaging and the music , the mix and the price.

I was lucky to have seen ELP with orchestra in NYC in 1977. I have yet to recover. What an amazing performance and event.

I can't wait for Trilogy in 5.1 (I will buy BSS again in 5.1 even though I own the 2002 DVD-Audio 5.1 which I think is fabulous....)

I really hope they do Works Vol. I. Pirates in 5.1 would be heaven. "To the devil! Drink a toast!"

The project is still alive. It is only thta Steven Wilson stepped out of it dor various reasons. Jakko Jakszyk is mixing BSS and Trilogy.

Yeah according to his Twitter page, he's finished mixing BSS, but we have no idea whether he's starting remixing "Trilogy" or if it's already done (hopefully the latter...)
He said BSS was scheduled to come out later this year, with "Trilogy" to be released early next year (backwards from the way I wanted it, but hey at least they are still both supposedly going to be released)

Thank goodness!! I was concerned the that we would not get to hear the others in 5.1. I have BSS on DVD-A and I love it but I look forward to hearing a different 5.1 point of view.

If it were, we would have the assets already & we have not heard a dicky bird from Sony.
Putting one of these together from the bits is not something I can do in a few days - it has to be scheduled in, and nobody has said a word to me - we are still waiting on news.

what are the chances its not going to be a DVD-A done by you Neil? i.e. can you say BSS is definitely not going to be a DVD-V (potentially thrown together by someone else!) since Steven Wilson is no longer involved in these ELP

Someone was reporting a November release for BSS, but even that seems a little suspicious now.
All we definitely know is that Jakko has finished mixing it, but we don't know whether he's already mixed "Trilogy" or still waiting to get that one done.
Originally Jakko said that BSS would be released later this year, with "Trilogy" scheduled for release in early 2014.
Only time will tell whether these are on track or not...

As a loyal paying fan of any discrete 5.1 progressive mix, I have tried many ways to get information from you as we simply wait too long between releases. I have tried:

-Writing sweet posts to you repleat with many smiley-face type icons.

-Taking you on a boat into International Waters with euro-hookers to get inside info. on 5.1 future works.

-And bending the truth just a bit to get you to spill some beans you otherwise would have kept to yourself.
My info. is that Jakko said on twitter his mix for BSS is complete and is set for the fall. "October" was the bait for you to provide more details....

Well its good to have more information than we had(thanks ). But now, it seems they could delay it indefinitely if you have not received any part of your "package" of the production. Since the few releases do seem to come around the fall or spring. You hearing nothing probably rules out a fall release. Once the record companies start skipping seasons, we wind up loosing years... Pink Floyd The Wall 5.1 was "coming" so said James Guthrie back in 2011, my personal guess is The Wall 5.1 will be here in 2015.:howl
