Oh, crap...I've bought several box sets over the years but never identified as bi. Am I in denial? Oh man, this is going to be an adjustment. Advice welcome.

I sent an email to ELP's management through their website. I'm sure it's the label's doing....but I think the band has a certain level of responsibility to make sure their label doesn't scam their customers. Although, their merchant seems to be out of the loop, so they might be completely clueless to this....either way, it should be brought to their attention, so they could perhaps try to address it with the label, I'd say everyone should send an email to ELP's management expressing your disappointment and outrage at this bait and switch scam. I've pushed back with merch now to get more details and make sure their label contact isn't misinformed....just having a label contact say the opposite is true of what 2 other reliable sources is saying isn't enough, I think merch now owes it to their customers to get a detailed answer as to just what in the heck is going on, to be sure they aren't misinforming their customers.

Well it's a great release other than this bamboozle. Every ELP fan needs it and every 5.1 freak needs it too. So get the Super deluxe and lets harass Sony into doing the TRILOGY

Shit! I cancelled my box set order at £40 !

The 3 disc set has no 5.1 mix !

So, I contacted Merchnow and they basically told me that the set would be "as listed on our website"....which shows it as:

....so, I'm still holding onto a bit of hope. Worst case scenario I'll complain soooo much that they will have to either pay for the return or give it to me for free.

The *only* way to get the 5.1 version is in the [big] Box Set.
The 2CD/DVD version contains 24/96 stereo (Original Mix Remastered & New Jakko Mix) only.

Thanks. Cancelled my CD+DVD 3 disc 'Box Set' from Amazon UK. (Very confusing with multiple 'box sets' listed and incorrect listings. Very disappointed.

I'm not sure what to believe at this point, but the only sensible thing to do is cancel my order for the 3-disc set and wait until someone gets one and lets us know. Sad.

What a charlie foxtrot this has turned into. After the very nice surpass of getting true dvd-a on the first two albums for a bargain price they just couldn't leave well enough alone it seems, and had to think of some idiotic way to mess things up.

I'm glad I got the box at a decent price - which they apparently tried to deliver today but the box required a signature, so I'll go pick it up in the morning.

Just for the record, the listing from the merchnow website clearly showing disc 3 contains a 5.1 mix. Merch now has told inquiring customers today that they've confirmed with the label that the item will be as listed.

I suggest everyone ordering this through other means cancel, and order with merch now, inquire with their customer support about the 5.1 mix to get something in writing from them stating this.

Then, either we'll get 5.1 mixes, or we'll demand replacement discs from merch now.
