It came with the first Columbia Cassics Volume I Native UHD4K box set remasters and I watched it all the way through and it did not exhibit any snafus. Great film and very nice transfer.

Good to know, thank you! Might have to pick up the solo 4K if it becomes available here in NZ again - they all sold out ages ago and for some reason, I neglected to purchase it.

Just arrived today via AmazonUK. Ordered it from AmazonUS which included FREE Global s/h from the UK .... price has NOW increased $20 ....from $30 to $50! Wonder if it will be domestically released?

Would I DARE recommend this 3D film to an unsuspecting viewership? I recently purchased this native 3D film when Kino Lorber had their blow out sale and watched it last night. Hyper 3D, Amazing use of color, shot with multiple cameras of varying resolutions and a hyper 5.1 DTS~HD MA soundtrack that is all over the map. Includes an almost 50 minute interview with Godard on the accompanying 2D BD~V!


Winner of the Jury Prize at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, Goodbye to Language 3D is a triumphant masterpiece from Jean-Luc Godard. Using 3D technology to mind-bending effect, the film follows a couple whose relationship breaks down along with the images, which in its second half takes a dog's-eye view of the world. It is a meditation on history and illusion that creates 3D effects more spectacular than any Hollywood blockbuster, figures merging and weaving across the screen along with the film's ideas about romantic love and being-in-the-world. It has the feeling of a final statement, but knowing Godard's penchant for re-invention, hopefully it is yet another beginning to an extraordinary career.

Recently I picked up the pair of three Blu Ray sets of the Netflix Haunting series. In Hill House, which has occasional use of the surrounds, I was watching one episode, alone, late one night (I know). In this scene one of the daughters is awaken by a sound at her door. You are lead to think its a ghost but the door opens and its her sister, angry that she heard the knocking too and blames the first sister for pranking her. As she enters her sister's room there is knocking again. Terrified, they now sit on the bed of the first sister clinging to each other. Suddenly the knocking becomes a pounding on all the walls of the room, as evidenced by the girls heads pivoting to follow the sound. But what scared the crap out of me at that moment was that the VERY loud pounding circled me as well using the surrounds. Suddenly I was in the room too. Super effective.

Just finished watching it on my LG OLED Screen [Oppo 205 was the player] and in a word REMARKABLE. Arrow Films did the film absolute justice and having seen it in multiple formats over the years, beginning with laserdisc ..... it was like seeing it for the first time and there are NO black bars ... fills up the entire screen and the audio is equally impressive.

If you are a true fan ......BUY IT!

As presented by Arrow Video on a single UHD4K disc, a visual feast for the eyes and ears. Every detail is intact. If you have a true love for true romance by all means add this sensational disc to your permanent collection.

Watched it last night. IMO, Kino Lorber is literally knocking it out of the ballpark with their exceptionally crisp Native UHD4K remasters. Eastern Promises is no exception. Highly Recommended to fans of the genre ......
