I'll be interested to see how annoying this "visualizer" is - the descriptions seem horrendous. Luckily my LG OLED has a simple remote button for 'Screen Off' that doesn't interfere with HDMI or anything else. I typically turn my screen off when listening to an audio disc anyway - particularly if it's bright or flashing.

Sounds like my Oppo’s pure audio button will be getting a workout when I finally get this one.

I will need to find a shortcut on my Samsung remote for this feature, going through the menu is a PITA. For this disc along with Human's Lib from Howard Jones. Great album, but the visuals were, well...Karaoke'ish.

Just got mine in the mail today. I had already listened on Apple Music so I knew what to expect overall. Still, I was hoping for some tweaks. For example, the bass drops in the 5.1 version of the title track (Part 1) are missing or extremely quiet in the Atmos version. I thought the Apple Music compression might be the culprit, but no. Clearly there on the BD 5.1 and clearly not in the Atmos. Glad to have both versions on the same disc, though.

Question - does the new blu ray have the 5.1 issue in the prior DVD-Audio?

Someone with more knowledge of this issue should check me on this; but this is what I see from the 2024 release for the song "Flight Test"

according to @steelydave; the 2003 release had:

I think you can see quite clearly from this that the LFE is late compared to the front three channels (where presumably most of the bass is). You'd need a phase correlation meter to get it precise, but the peak on the LFE track at the end of the highlighted section should like up roughly with the peak in the Center channel at the beginning of the highlighted section.

Also, if you look at the bottom left for the “Start and End of Selection” time, it’s
5 milliseconds.
