Thanks for your post but to think a biamped speaker is the ONLY way to get "very clean sound" and that is the only way to keep from damaging your tweeters and ears is false.

OK, so what non-biamped speaker system sounds as good as a biamped one and doesn't cost more than a Lear Jet? Tell me so I can schedule a listening session and hear this miraculous speaker system.

Nothing complicated, not rocket science as you put it. Quality drivers in a reinforced cabinet. Three way passive crossover, and quality amplifier. My cabinet is ported and around two and a half cubic feet of volume. Midrange has internal sealed box. They were designed and hand built by a gentleman in the business of building and repairing them for nearly fifty years.

Only if we can include amplifier bridging in the discussion. I am more of a passive crossover kind of guy!

My friend has speakers that are literally 6-1/2 feet tall. He powers them with two McIntosh 500 watt mono-blocks. The speaker cables look like high-voltage underground power lines. Sounds great, but to your point, I guess that is getting into some really high priced stuff.
