Lee Michaels - “5th”
His best known album (the hit “Do You Know What I Mean” comes from this record) is soulful funky and fun.
Short though, a mere 27:51

Roy Buchanan – Telemaster Live In '75

Roy really clicks with the band on this one.
Good mix & fidelity.
A nice offering of various tempos so it doesn't get monotonous.
Decent vocals here and there. Some wonderful tight tasty guitar licks from Roy.
Highly recommended.

Lee Michaels - Space & First Takes
A lot more guitar on this one.
They sound great, clean and well defined though must admit to missing the organ a bit, it’s not as prominent as previous albums.
Still, another great record.

Lee Michaels - Live
This finishes off a stupendous box set.
Back to basic organ and drums and it works.
Sounds OK for a live recording of this era. Some spots smooth and clear but it also has its fair share of rough edges too.
After this on to the two Columbia albums..,,

Lee Michaels - Nice Day For Something

His first of two albums recorded for Columbia after a seven album run with A&M.
It’s a good record but doesn’t click quite the same as earlier albums. His voice sounds different. It’s OK but wouldn’t have known it was him if listening blind. Sound quality a bit of a drop off from the A&Ms

Lee Michaels - Tailface

Odd hearing a Lee Michaels album with no organ and crunchy guitars. It’s got a rough feel like it was recorded live off the floor, like a demo. Definitely a different direction

I was perusing the surround albums to avoid and saw several mentions of Yessongs whic inspired me to cue up my jap shm cd and see what I thought I it had been a while , HOLY CRAP its awesome so why do the surround release's suck???????

John Lennon & Yoko Ono -
Double Fantasy Stripped Down

Never heard the regular album (included in this set) before other than the four songs that got radio play, so I debated which version to play first. I chose Stripped Down, and liked it a great deal. Then the regular which doesn’t sound as over produced as I expected in comparison. Also great, even including Yoko’s songs.
Can’t believe it took me 40 years to hear these recordings in their entirety.
This/these album(s) are heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time.

Lynx - Sneak Attack

Second album (1978) from this little known Canadian band. Softer than the debut but still a bunch of great songs, these guys deserved more success. Good sound too, punchy and clear
